I'll look into getting a save done for this some day. I just remember spending hours just loading all the figures, not looking forward to doing it again v.v ha. I believe you may be able to reset the figures levels in game so they will be at level 1. I'll get it done one day :P

Just start a new save!!! It still has all the figures loaded friends! (at least for me?)
Pressing the - button in game and you can select reset figure on all of them (except the creation characters) for a fresh experience

let me know if this isnt the case for you guys

uploaded new save to include a slot 2 fresh save as well as re added missing figures from superchargers

You could also just copy the "IMAGINATORS_OPTIONS.sav" part of the save to your own save, this will overwrite your scanned figures with @DarkCrudus ' figures without touching your story progress (At least this is what happened for me). You automatically get 40% progress from the save, even if you start from the beginning, so I'm guessing it's because of the figure-unlocked stages, but I'm not sure.

Basically, some things you could do to combine your save with @DarkCrudus ':
1. Copy IMAGINATORS_OPTIONS.sav to your own save, replacing your scanned figures with his.
OR
2. Copy your IMAGINATORS_X.sav to his save. X = the save slot (0 for first slot, 1 for second slot, etc.) But don't forget to rename your save's IMAGINATORS_X.sav to IMAGINATORS_2.sav so that @DarkCrudus ' first and second slot will stay intact.
THEN
3. You can just reset each non-Crystal Figure in-game by pressing - and select the reset figure if you wanted to start clean. Although you cannot reset the Creation Crystal Characters, you have to completely delete them if you want, or just change their look/equips/skills to make it your own. The Class/Job is unchangeable sadly.

hey amazing save you've given us, but can you load bowser into a wiiu skylanders game and remove his santa hat and reup the save from imaginators? apparently bowser has a hat and its really glitchy looking but you cant remove it because this game does not allow hats to be edited or removed

I didn't expect it to be like that too, found it out by accident, then I tested stuff.

Also, did you see my previous post with the link for the save with chompy mage?

Hey I tried the method with resetting the figurines. That seems to work fine.
However these "creation crystal chrachters" also have items? Normal skylander doesnt seem to have items?
Anyway, I tried your suggestions deleting those "creation crystal charachter" But then they are completely gone... Not level 1 or re-attainable..?

I haven't played the game so I don't know what the class/job thing is, does that matter much?

Other then that seems perfectly playable with the 40% save?

Yeah sure, i'll hunt down the file again later when I get home. (Not sure where I stashed it on my laptop).

What I meant with deleting the Creation Chars, is that if you don't want them, only option is to delete them, otherwise just edit their equipment/looks. For equipment, normal skylanders are usually "Masters" and creation chars are called Imaginators, which are basically supposed to be your own custom character, hence the equipment / looks / class.

The Class + Element gives your character different abilities, like an earth mage gets some different skills than a fire mage.

The 40% save is actually a 0% with all the characters/stages unlocked, so yeah it's perfectly playable. (And storywise, i believe it's almost untouched)

I see thanks!! Very clear explanation for someone who hasn't played the game at all yet.
So the creation chars are the only ones with items, that can make em "OP" perhaps.
Oh well. :P Just equip a weaker item I guess till you actually found it in the game or something like that?
And start with the weakest skill if you are to play with those creation chars.

Anyway most seem normal and there so many charachters.. maybe you'll just stick to other favorite. Or are these Creation chars more powerfull to begin with then your normal skylanders.

I saw the save had 381/381 skylanders. But supossidly there is one more? "chompy mage?" How would you see it then 382/382 or?

(Let's call the creation chars imaginators just for the ease of it)

1. Having OP imaginators are fine, they arent so OP that they can make the game unenjoyable, they are just basically a bit stronger (sometimes easier to use) than other class+element combinations. Honestly, there's no definitive guide on what class+element combo is the best, people have preferences. (I wish there was a comprehensive list tho, for what skills each class get on each element, not sure if there is).

2. When you start to play the game you'll find areas that will say "IMAGINATORS ARE STRONGER HERE" or "WIND SENSEIS ARE STRONGER HERE" etc. Meaning there are areas that it's beneficial to use Senseis (Masters) and others to use Imaginators on. You'll be switching mid-stage quite a bit. I suggest you get a feel for one Sensei for each element.

3. Skylanders Figures have variants, like in the case of Chompy Mage, there's the basic green one (which is rare because of stupid reasons) and the holiday "Jingle Bell Chompy Mage" edition, which is red. They both count as only one (1/381) in the roster. (I could be wrong since I don't have the game with me atm, but I'll check all the details when I get home in 3 hours.)

Just helping you remind, did you check if you still have the file?

I suppose it doesn't matter too much? Since there already is a Chompy Mage included(the red one?) just different cosmetics? (don't know if the variants have different skills)

Yep, you're correct. I did absolutely forget yesterday. Haha. And yeah it's purely cosmetic. I'm gonna try and find it later at home if I remember. My bad.

I have uploaded my (mostly) complete skylanders imaginators save file. Hope you guys enjoy!
https://gbatemp.net/download/skylanders-imaginators-save.35017/

please note that some of the imaginators silly names are from my son.
I have not yet(maybe ever) obtained an original Chompy Mage figure($80+ used on ebay) so they are not playable, Jingle Bell Chompy Mage however is. :)

I apologize for not including a save at the very beginning of the game with all of the figures unlocked. This is due to most of my collection actually but away in storage and with 350+ figures and how the switch handles loading the figures (have to scan each twice) It took me over 6hours originally when I did my collection the 1st time and that was not very fun.

Just start a new save!!! It still has all the figures loaded
Pressing the - button in game and you can select reset figure on all of them (except the creation characters) for a fresh experience

Hope you guys find this useful, or those with little ones are super excited to be able to customize their own figures with (almost) all the available figure parts.

PS - Touch screen works when selecting figures, can scroll faster than cycling through with the joystick

Save was extracted with yallarenuts. place in inject folder and use that to inject into imaginators

thank you so much for this, works perfect for us

anyone having issues, install game and update 1.1.1, then run the game, close when get to portal screen
then restore the save. worked perfect for me with checkpoint :)

Many of these characters have hats. How do I get rid of them.

Edit:

It seems you can't remove hats unless you scan the skylander with a hat on a previous game where there was still an add/remove hat option. The option just doesn't exist in imaginators but the skylanders do retain the hat you put on them in the previous game.

So yeah @DarkCrudus can you remove the hats from all the skylanders through Superchargers (or an older game) and rescan them to Imaginators and make a new savefile?

I know this is a hassle. But would really appreciate it. The hats are really silly and floating on every character.

Thanks in advance.

I added a few figures from my personal stash
Metalic Gill Grunt, Aluminum Heavy Duty Sprocket, Pumpkin Eye-Brawl, and glow in the dark Sonic Boom and Cinder, None of these have in game cosmetics and only the glow in the dark variants stay unlocked, I've tried several times to unlock them permanently.
There's 25 more miscellaneous toys most of which are from the original skylanders game.
The total number of skylanders is now 411 up from 381

Hello, thanks for the additions, but Metalic Gill Grunt, Aluminum Heavy Duty Sprocket, and Pumpkin Eye-Brawl appear grayed out and asking for a second scan of the original figure to be able to use them in the game.

Would you be so kind to rescan those 3 so the save is even more amazing? Thanks!
