Hacking Switch trinket hard mod

I have a hard modded switch with trinket and I have hekate and other goodies. my problem is that when I install nsp files with tin foil they will not play. what happens is when you click on the game it states I don't have the software and wants to connect online. what seems to be the problem? it boots into the firmware and the emus work and homebrew games.
any help would be great

just the base game that I downloaded from here. I dumped all my games I own in xci format in which I still haven't figured out to install as well. I am new at this and right now confused

are you sure you didn't install the update? the base game is always "v0"
you can convert any xci game to nsp then use tinfoil to install it.

well I have no idea what v0 is?? how do I convert xci to nsp? I cant hook up the switch to my pc I dont have the right cable

It sounds like you were installing the update and not the base file.
