So many fancy requests and here I am just hoping for sound, fast forward, rewind, pause, play, no internet connection required, and maybe a way to turn 4:3 into full screen like pSNES and pFBA.

sounds nice but i wouldnt have enough space for the dvdrips i have in mkv with high bitrate might crash the fucking app lol
also its like 6gb for each movie and thats way too much space

Amazing work! 60fps videos look fantastic. I do have one suggestion however. As of right now, when loading a video with an integrated .srt, the app will report that the subtitle is in an unknown format, but then the video will not play at all.

Is is possible to have it load the video in such a way that if the subtitle format is unrecognized, the app will still report that, but the video will play without it anyway?

Sure, I'll look into it. If you can PM me a way to get a sample (or full file..) of the media it could help!

When playing a 720p mkv file it freezes completely Atmosphere. On SX OS it plays for a few seconds and crashes the console. The same file plays fine using NX-Shell. Will try later with another file. And yes I did add CACHE_MEDIA_INFO = 0; in the cfg

Erf. I tried several 720p but also some 1080p mkv without any problem, so that's very strange. Could you share the video info as shown in the filer (video/audio codec/bitrate)? Note that I only tested pPlay launched from an NSP HBL, I should maybe add this to the readme.

Got it working. It seems the issue is in the buffer. If I set the buffer to low, it will open and play fine, if I increase the buffer it will hardlock the switch on Atmosphere and crash to back screen asking to reboot on SX OS

Are you on 6.2 ? I only tested on 6.1. Also, you may need to launch it in a way you have all memory available (from an nsp HBL for example). Thing is buffering is really needed for most 1080p videos.

When setting up a media web server for it, even though I have it configured correctly, when I try to load the network option I get "Oops, No Error"

Figured it out, it wanted a / at the end of the URL.

Made a redirector and now it works fine with all buffers. And yes I'm on 6.2 :)
Great work!

Cool, thanks for the report :D I guess i'll have a lot of report about this, i didn't think about that before (i always use a nsp forwarder as it allow the device to not crash on.. app crash). I'll edit the main post.

Thanks again for the help. It's now fixed (i mean it wont load the subtitle but still allow to play the file). I'll post an update tomorrow.
