Open up the .py file in sublime text it will display the macOS instructions at the top in the comments of the code

Where ? I mean I have python3 and everything installed through Terminal windows.. This came with Zadig which I cannot used. How ?

is everyone just ignoring that people want to install and run their nsps from USB not just install them from USB to sd

This thread has nothing to do with playing games from usb, just installing them from pc using a usb cable. The only way to play games from a usb hard drive is by purchasing SX OS and you can't use nsps only xcis.

Anybody else successfully install games using this method and the games always crash at some point? I've installed about 4 games and they all seem to crash randomly.

I'm on 5.1.0 and running the latest Tinfoil.

cd into the folder where usb_install_pc.py is, then:

python3 usb_install_pc.py /where ever the folder is containing your nsp, hit enter.

Note: It can't link directly to the nsp, just the folder the nsp is in.

Hey.. Yours didn't work.. I edit it like this:

cd ~/Downloads/TinfoilUBSINSTALL/

Then type this:

python3 ./usb_install_pc.py ./nsp and it is working.

However.. When I play this game.. It gave me an error. I decided to delete it and pull out sd card and put nsp in it then reinsert it to SWITCH and installed it again and I can play this game fine. Maybe this program is a bug ? Mine is Monster Hunter - 12GB. Gave me an error when I tried to play it but I put it on SD CARD and reinsert to switch and installed it and it can play just fine.

I experienced similar with 2 different switches. Sooner or later all the games gave error. None could be launched anymore. I cleaned up both switches and formatted the sdcards to fat32, as ive been told fat32 is more stable. Until now its still working.

I had the same error, fat32 fixed

You are telling me that fat32 is working only? Obviously, your program required fat32 to work that way, right ? Mine is exfat, by the way.

I mean, if that's where your usb_install_pc.py is then it did work. But ehh, long as you got it. :D As for your other issue, not sure. My card is ExFAT and I have had no issues loading anything. 6.2 / with the latest Atmosphere.

:D Yeah I did this way.

I want to know what you did because it did installed NSP without a problem but when I run this game and I got an error. I could try Windows and see if it is working but I prefer macOS since I lived with Windows for over 20 years and it was so easy for me. macOS is so new to me and I am still learning how to use it for about 3 years.

What did you do ? The problem is Monster Hunter Ultimate. Drag and drop this game onto SD and installed to Switch don't have a problem and can run it just fine. Thats weird. I am using ReiNX, by the way.

Same thing really. Only difference is CFW. Perhaps your download is just bad. Try verifying the file or grabbing a different one?
