The PlayStation Classic looks adorable but it has a terrible library of games. Not worth the MSRP.

I know there were some shortcomings with this thing before, but this is disgusting and what finally got me to cancel my preorder.

That's pretty shitty. But with that library, it was already doomed to fail.
Two games many wanted it on the PlayStation Classic:

Gran Turismo would have required to either have its soundtrack replaced, removed entirely or go thru licensing the songs again which wouldn't be worth it for Sony.

Crash Bandicoot, chances are Sony tried to make a deal with Activision but they declined because there's the N. Sane Trilogy already.

Sony rushed it to the market and half-assed it.

Spyro and FF9 too, and probably others I'm forgetting.

US/CA got shafted for getting the Tekken 3 PAL 50hz version. For any fighting game of that era it has to be 60hz NTSC. Even the bios is Europe, so hopefully a Haxchi type solution may surface that will allow swapping the isos to their NTSC version.

Still got my preorder in the hope it can be hacked and issues resolved and games added, so here's hoping, otherwise will be returned for sure

I am having a lot of trouble understanding where Sony is coming from and making the decisions they are making. I actually kinda want one just to have the adorable little PS mini shell. But on the other hand... the price. I am holding out hope for a good hack, so we can use analog controllers and add games that deserve the spotlight on a mini console. Like Crash Team Racing, that is seemingly absent from any sort of retro revival mindset.

Somi made shit again, but blind fanboys gonna eat it all up again, encouraging somi to deliver more lazy shit. Vicious circle.
