please helpI installed some nsps on tinfoil weeks ago.it worked before.and now it does not open it says something like could not open software go back to home menu for all but i installed a different nsp and it works now. It is the same scenario as what trollface1011 said on page 330. I did some testing like installing over usb to NAND and SD and normally installing it from the sd to both sd and nand and still they dont work.
the question is can you try help me?
please help
Kosmos is the nickname for tomGER's pre-compiled SD files or more accurately Version 11.0. Sparkle is Version 11.1.Ok So I need a quick catchup questions. I hacked my switch about 1 month (October 5th) ago. Is there really any changes. I am currently on 6.01 but unsure which version atmosphere.
What is Kosmos?
Sparkle?
Do we still have to have a payload loader?
Do we still have to shut off switch by holding in power for 12 seconds?
Should I follow the guide again at sdsetup?
If I backed up my switch and then hacked it and then accidently updated to 6.01 do I need a new backup of my system?
What people mean is that you can use Hekate to load ReiNX rather than just use ReiNX all by itself. Technically, you can load Hekate via ReiNX but that is done automatically by ReiNX because it chainloads whatever payload.bin is on the SD card.I see everyone recommending Hekate as the payload to inject. Why choose it over the ReiNX payload they recommend at reinx.guide if I plan to use ReiNX as my CFW?
I'm going to assume you're following this guide which I do not recommend using because it spoonfeeds you pre-compiled files without explaining where to obtain them. Redownload kezplez-nx from shchmue's GitHub page as well as ReiNX from the ReiNX guide.Hi all, new to switch hacking tryed backing up my keys but failed half way. There are no issues with using sleep mode in conjunction with AutoRCM. Any issues you may have seen are false and probably fear mongering.I also see people complaining about sleep mode with AutoRCM. Will my Switch not charge in sleep mode if plugged into the dock like it does on OFW?
You can connect to the Internet but you may get banned for doing so. However even if you are banned, you can still use the Internet; you will just be limited from using any online services that go through Nintendo's servers.i am on 6.1.0 with ReiNX, i have some NSP games, and my orginal games, can i connect to the internet ?
i dont want to play them online, i only want to use some CFW Application like Appstore.
can my switch get banned for only have them on my switch?
i was usingexfat for sometime with both the old and new nsp and the old stopped working but the new still works. i formatted it to fat32 after and the old one still does not work and the new doesMy guess is corruption on your sd card. Did you format it to EXFAT or FAT32? EXFAT has corruption issues.
can somebody please tell me te difference of NSP and XCI files?
As far as I know they are of course the rom files for the switch but what is exactly the difference.
Im planning to use a ReinX payload injector wich I bought from aliexpress and im pretty new to the switch hacking scene.
Also can ReinX play XCI files?
with the research I have done so far I think it cannot play those XCI files but is there any way to convert the to NSP files maybe because most of the roms I see are in XCI file format correct me if im wrong.
Thanks in advance.

while having my 64gb sd card on exfat i usb installed a few games . A week later, i installed another game and at that time the other games still worked. The next week the old ones (meaning the games i installed first) stopped working and the newer ones still worked. It says something (not word-for-word) "cannot open software go to the home menu". I tried reinstalling but they dont work. i formatted the sd to fat32 after that but still no difference. The game i installed after all of the games still works.I don't know what you're talking about when you say old and new one. Do you mean a new sdcard or new nsp? The nsp could have gotten corrupted and putting it on a new sd card might not fix it. Redownload the game.
It is safe until the first person gets banned for using their EmuNAND which hasn't happened just quite yet.So... after a while, is SX "EmuNAND" safe to use? Like if i go offline everytime i go to the EmuNAND and then play legit online games on OFW.
The reason people prefer Hekate is because it can load other CFW as well as has multiple useful features such as removing the archive flag on folders, a battery de-sync fix, and toggling AutoRCM.

All forms of AutoRCM function the same meaning they all "brick" the Switch so it "automatically" enters RCM. This makes it such none of them are inferior or superior to one another because they all accomplish the same job. The only real difference between them is the way they are removed. Typically, you uninstall AutoRCM using the same tool used to install it. So if you enable AutoRCM with Hekate, it stands to reason you would use Hekate to get rid of it.Thanks for the reply. Seems like AutoRCM can also be done through the ReiNX Toolkit according to reinx.guide. is this an inferior solution to using Hekate? Can you explain the archive flag on folders and the battery de-sync though? Are these both problems in ReiNX?
Unless the console is actually bricked, nothing should stop it from charging while in sleep mode, docked or otherwise. So my Switch will still charge in sleep mode when docked? I assume that's what it's doing since my Switch (still on stock) is always at 100% charge when I wake it from sleep mode while it's docked.

The archive flag is an issue that happens when using MacOS and certain builds of Windows 10. When transferring files using one of those operating systems, they have a tendency to set the archive flag on any folders transferred causing them to be unable to be read by Horizon. One workaround is by using a third-party program to transfer files instead such as Total Commander for Windows. And the battery de-sync fix is what it says on the box; a fix for battery de-syncs. The primary cause of battery de-synx was running Linux on the Switch. However, Linux has now been updated to prevent this from happening. There are also many other uses for Hekate but you can read up on those on either the GBATemp thread or its GitHub page.

Do u still need a unpatched switch by checking the serial number on the thread to run CFW capable of running back up switch games?
