1.08 doesn't work.
1.07 works fine. NOTE: to fix that Nand warning.. your SD folder "Nintendo" needs to be in a SUB folder and then select the sub folder. and NOT the Nintendo folder. ie. \1\Nintendo Select "1" as the SD folder
otherwise it will not work properly.

Just wanted to say thanks @caitsith2 for the continued development of this great tool! it's incredibly useful if you have a legit switch with many eShop purchases and a CFW switch that you never take online

It will also dump pirated games on cfw. This is useful as CDNSP is dead but FreeshopNX still works. At least to dump pirated updates to share

Do you have any instructions for the NSP dumping procedure? What do need for the dumping? Is an internet connection required?
Is there a way to be banned?
Although my friend iCON (Wiidatabase.de Adim/owner) wrote me that nothing is downloaded from the CDN here, but the tool is not a trap that forces someone to download something from the Nintendo server, which ends with a super ban?

Do I need to have all the games I want to dump downloaded into either NAND or SDcard before doing all this?

Edit: Eeeeh, nevermind, I found the answer myself that I do.

who uses SwitchSDTool of you?
I get 0x80004005): A generic error occurred in GDI+.
When I click on the button Parse NCAs
I think there's a faulty NCA in the system folder.

Can I delete all NCA in the system and keep the contents from the SD card? Will the contents then be recognized by the SD card after the formartting?

Is anybody else having an issue when parsing NCAs? I'll get thrown an exception saying "Could not find file: <path>/control.ncap"
Getting this with literally every version I've tried; latest and older builds as well.

Edit: Found my problem. If anybody else comes across the issue, make sure your decrypted NCA path isn't pointing to a folder named "nca"; this folder is automatically generated when parsing NCAs and causes an exception if the path is named "nca".

Anyone else having issues even starting the NCA decryption process? I get to the second NCA and the program throws a fit saying "Could not find file" . I'm using 1.0.7 since 1.0.8 doesn't work. What the heck is going on?

I had all kinds of issues with 1.08, however I switched to 1.07, followed the instructions, and had no issue at all. The console I was dumping from was running 6.0.1 as well.

I'm thinking about rewriting this in Python, as I find it useful and the author seems to be MIA.
I just need to understand how it works (Khangaroo's instructions aren't easy to follow) and the time to write it, which I don't have a whole lot of right now.

I think I figured out what broke. The software seems to stumble if you have games on both your internal memory and your micro sd card and since you can't move games from one to the other... yeah

Yes, you cannot move them, however you simply delete and re-install to SD.
Yes, all my games were on SD card, none are on internal storage.

Version 1.09 - Oct 25, 2018
  • more ticket extraction speedups.
  • Dump .nsx file if the ticket is missing. Ticket title key will show up as "[TITLE KEY HERE]" in a hex editor.
  • Add Title keys to .nsx file and rename them automatically once a valid Title key is available.
  • Dumper will now work with Development units as well as retail units.

Versions 1.08 and earlier are no longer available as of Oct 25, 2018.

Well I'll be damned. Talk about showing up at a perfect time! Thanks for the update!

Thanks, it's an awesome tool, however I ran the same SD through 1.07 and 1.09 (1.08 simply doesn't work for me), and there are a lot of differences.
1.07 dumped 42 items, totaling 49.4GB.
1.09 dumped 38 items, totaling 21.9GB.

Happy to share the differences via PM.

edit:
everything up to 3.3GB exported ok.
nothing over 6GB was exported.
I don't have anything between 3.3GB and 6GB so I don't know exactly what size it breaks at.

Hi, great tool. I created some nsps from demos, dlcs and updates.

However, when trying them in yuzu, yuzu warns me some metadata is missing. I can see the game icon and start couple of demos. But I can't install the nsp (Tried to install the update of Mario Odyssey.)

Anyone else has this issue? Is it just yuzu related?

This is probably a question for a yuzu thread/forum?
I believe yuzu is still very much in alpha.
Can you install and run NSPs sourced from other sources ok?

I am having the same problem. I am on 1.09 and cannot extract any of the larger nsp's, which is nearly every Base Game. All the NCAs decrypt alright, and I can proceed to the step of packing the NSPs, but it fails on every large NSP. Can somebody send me the 1.07 release to try to see if that fixes the problem? Thank you.
