Hacking Question No USB power from dock (Modchip conflict?)

Whenever my Switch is docked, the USB ports lose power.
Power is restored when I remove the Switch from the dock.

As a result, I'm not able to use the new USB loading feature on SXOS 2.2.

I'm worried it may be my modchip causing a conflict of some kind. Has anyone else had this problem?
Here is a link to the modchip I'm using. I think it's basically a trinket clone.

Thanks for your reply. I did the 4 wire install. I used the 3v point in this picture.

that's the right 3 v point (the new one and not the old one)

it should be fine, so i have no clue what's going wrong
