Hello,

A few weeks ago I bought a switch and played around with the custom firmwares and payloads. i have experience with custom firmware on the 3DS as well.

But i ran into the following problem. i hope someone can figure out why this happens. I shut down my switch that is booted in reiNX (enters autoRCM) when i try to inject the payload Hekate 4.2.bin (injector says RCM ready) first the Switch displays hekate - ipl screen as you can see in the picture. then it goes off and enters RCM mode again. After I inject the bin once again the Hekate Menu shows up as it should. I have auto RCM enabled via reiNX Tollkit and my switch is on version 6.0.0 one the SD card are the files that come with All-in-One Package ("SDFiles.zip") i have no idea what could cause this or if it's normal or a known problem. Again hope someone knows more.

thanks,

Jonas

This is a "feature" since Hekate V4.1 if you have AutoRCM installed and turn off the console from Horizon, it will instead shut down the console when you send the Hekate payload. Initially, it was targeted towards dongle users but it worked too well and CTCaer added an option to disable in Hekate V4.2
V4.1
  • Auto full power off when the device woke up from HOS' power off
Usefull with modchips/dongles when using AutoRCM. (You can see it as a breathing backlight with hekate's logo).
V4.2
  • Add option to enable/disable Auto HOS power off
If you don't use a modchip/dongle you may find this feature annoying. Options->Auto HOS power off to disable.

Hey,

thanks for the quick response. yes that makes sense, also good feature when I think about it. I'm thinking about getting a payload dongle in the future, so good to know. Haven't read about this feature so I thought I just ask. Thanks again and I think the thread can be closed.
