Hello i have a Switch on 5.1.
I use sxos with a jog and dongle.
I am having an issue where i have to hold the power button in for 20 seconds before it will power on.
I thought best to factory reset but dont want to lose my info on micro sd card.
Can someone please suggest the easiest way to do it? Thanks

it can't delete anything if it has no access to it. unless you think it will delete stuff next time you insert it.
Never had to format on the switch so I don't know for sure, but on 3DS, formatting changed your ID0 and or ID1, along with moveable.sed. So while the data may still be there, there's a chance the Switch will no longer be able to read it.
