Homebrew Botched 2DS Downgrade led to system not booting

A while ago, I had attempted to downgrade my 2DS (OG model) from 11.2 to 9.2 by using CIAs and FBI. Some CIAs failed to install, but most of them successfully installed. However, the system would not allow me to go to the Homebrew Browser (as I never installed a CFW or B9S), so I powered it off. But now, it just boots to a black screen and won't go any further. I know it's bricked, but I wanted to know if it's fixable by either myself (using NTRboothax) or by Nintendo?

Is there homemenu music playing or just a black screen? If its just the screen you should be able to use NTRboot to get the system back up and running. Also, curious as you were wanting 9.2? There isnt much reason of doing so now.

No, there's no home menu music playing. The blue light comes on, but the system doesn't do anything sound or video wise. And I was led to believe 9.2 was the best firmware for installing a CFW.

NTRboot does sound like your best bet. As of now, you can easily put CFW on a console up to 11.3 using soundhax along as it wasnt a cart update that was done for free. After that requires the flashcart if the console wont work, or seedminer which can be done using a 2$ eshop game.

Whatever you are doing, just stop. There's no reason to downgrade your system anymore, there's no benefits in doing so.
It sounds like you have a softbrick and you need to to a CTRNAND transfer or if you have a NAND backup, restore that NAND backup. You can use NTRBoot to boot into GM9 and fix your system

If you can downgrade your system, then you already have NATIVE_FIRM access and don't need to downgrade. 9.2 was the best method back in the day, but that's no longer the case in B9S era. Nowadays you could have just install B9S via soundhax on 11.2, but now you are going to have to use NTRBoot to both fix and hack your system

I wouldn't recommend the R4i-B9S because the user is paying more for the same cart flashed with NTRBoot, it's literally a rip off. Not to mention the shit team behind it has a timebomb built into their kernel.

I personally suggest the R4i Gold Plus. The R4i Gold Plus provides a physical switch between NTRBoot and NDS-Mode, along with running Wood R4 which doesn't have a Timebomb built into the kernel.

Same thing happened to me. Used NTRboot and done full system transfer. Copied system data like Miis etc and bam. No issues
