Hardware NES CRT filter reportedly causing burn in

So supposedly, the built in CRT filter in the Switches NES emulator can cause burn in on the Switches LCD and possibly external displays.

Just seems weird that it would cause permanent patters just a few hours after release... If the switch was left on the game for like, 6 months, then I could see that being a problem... But a few hours is just... weird.
Not calling OP a liar or anything like that, just seems weird.

Yep, maybe it's one of those "temporary" burn-ins, just like in the early days of homebrew.

LCDs can get burn-in, it's temporary though and goes away after a while

Its not burn in but it is real. Do you guys not remember this happening back when people first started using Linux on the switch?
Its image persistence, which is similar to burn in but usually only temporary.

Its not, and it isn't just from the cart filter (don't know why people think it is). As I stated before we saw it happen in the community earlier this year when people let their Linux idle to long to dump nand (back when that was the only way to do it).

Don't think this is 100% true but iv been wrong before.
I don't have to worry about this because my switch is hacked and if i would like to play any of the classic games I can rip my own at home and use an emulator.

Actually youdybe surprised. A leak on 4chan revealed Pokémon Let's Go before the official announcement, and a lot of Gen VII Pokémon were leaked through 4chan before they were officially revealed.

Too bad the Switch doesn't have a proper browser, otherwise people could try flashing different coloured pixels on the screen through a site like J Screen Fix. I don't know if it would work but it would be worth a try if there were a browser.
