I'm in search of a cheap emulation machine such as this.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B077...=M1RVFFHRR9C4GEHHSSM1&dpPl=1&dpID=71iilpTZ56L

That will allow me to put any rom I wish , NES,GB (easy consoles to emulate)

I'm in want of this for my mother, growing up she played our NES and Gameboy more than we did and I know she wished she still had one.

I know I can probably find a PSP or something but I'm looking to keep it under 20-30$

Any suggestions?

If it is only for nes and gb games, you can't get wrong with a raspberry pi zero. Those are like 5 bucks. Then you search around for an 8 gb micro sd you have laying around somewhere, and you buy a nes style nes controller.
Download retropie from there site and search for nes and gb games with a search engine, and you're good to go for probably 15 bucks.

I mean, you could put a screen and a battery on the pi0, get or 3d print a nice case and make it handheld that way, but that'll probably drive up the cost considerably and also be a lot of effort.

Staying under $30 is probably close to impossible here, i'd say your best bet is probably A PSP with a CFW. The last PSP I purchased was 20€ but it was "only" an E1000 Street model. These can often be found from private sellers on craigslist-like markets for these prices, but unfortunately not in the Americas as the console was only released in Europe, IIRC. 2000/3000 models are probably a bit more expensive.
Alternatively, I have been using a chinese console called the RS-97 for some time which I bought from aliexpress. There's a small homebrew community available that released a CFW containing tons of emulators. But that is also considerably more than a used PSP.

There is the retromini about 30$

or the X6 Game console about 30$ too.

I don't think you will find cheaper.

Hmm I can see them at 79$ :/ .Either way like I said NES/GB are the only things I want emulated and the x6 I think can handle some gba

Runs Open Dingux, Bought mine from a US seller at 57, but if you get it from China and hack it yourself, runs 40-50. I spent yesterday throwing PS1 Games at it. Most ran well.
