@XorTroll

So I've tried installing the NSP file (the one who looks for the hbmenu.nro in the SD Card) with Tinfoil and it doesn't work. Aside from Tinfoil not installing a ticket (which I assume makes sense as this is not an official NSP) I don't get any errors with Tinfoil, but when I try to launch the NSP I get a black screen with an "an error occurred" message or something and the NSP shuts down. if I try to start the app again, I get a black screen with error code "2347-0012" and I have to restart the Switch.

I'm trying to do this on the CFW that comes with Hekate 4.0, yet it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Which firmware version are you on?

As a remainder for everyone: my NSPs are built with key generation 5, which means 5.0.0 or higher. I've already built some key 2 or 3 NSPs, planning to release them soon.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

And ofc it doesn't install a ticket, since this NSPs are non-titlekey NSPs, like system applications.

I'm on FW 5.1.0

Just a heads-up. So after deleting the installed hbmenu NSP that I installed with the CFW that came with Hekate 4.0, I tried both reinstalling the hbmenu NSP and installing the Tinfoil NSP with ReiNX and this works. No more errors or force restarting the console when I launch the NSP's from the menu:)

Have yet to try launching these with RajNX, but I certainly couldn't get them working with Hekate atleast.

BTW, I do, however, still get an "application has crashed" if I exit Tinfoil using the "exit" option. Not that this is too much of an issue at the moment.

EDIT: I do appreciate the work you have done with these btw. Just thought you should know.

Nice that you got it working.
As I said, many programs exit like that in homebrew in order to go to hbmenu again, but retail games don't exit this way so the system reads that as an error, but no with applets. So exiting like that, like we did on homebrew apps, will trigger that error screen, so better if you exit the app by closing it on home menu.

Yeah, I kinda figured as much, but since we can just shut down the NSP like any other, it's not much of an issue I guess. Thanks for the explanation though

@XorTroll

Can now confirm this does not work with RajNX 0.7.4. I get a black screen with "The software was closed because an error occurred" when I try to launch the NSP. If I then try to launch it again, I get the aforementioned black screen aswell, but this time with error code "2347-0012" and I have to force restart the console. ReiNX still works fine for both this and Tinfoil.

This loads for me in ReiNX but not hekate or SX.

Curiously, the RetroNX nsp works for me in hekate and ReiNX but not SX.

I installed the one downloaded from discord but i can't launch it. I boot my switch with hekate's v4 payload.
I can't start neither flappy bird.

I have the same problem with both Hekate's CFW and RajNX. Try using ReiNX, that one works for me, atleast for the HomeBrew NSP, haven't tried Flappy Bird.

whats the point lol
album is a lot faster and besides sdfileswitch already has an option to access album if you want it back anyway.
You can start a homebrew than go to home menu, load news applet or pictures viewer, go to settings and enable wifi or something, then go back to your homebrew.
It's impossible with the old homebrew menu. If you press home accidentally when your are playing an emulator, you are fucked.
