Well i mean it depends on how their systems work, if it's in anyway the same as Nintendo's. But at the very least they could implement something very similar on their next console. It also depends on how vulnerable to hacking their systems are, i literally have NO idea how vulnerable the ps4 and the XBONE are to hacking and piracy

PS4 is just as bad cause WebKit. Theres a private exploit for latest fw.

But can you just transfer backup game files to sad card offline and install and avoid using free shop? Free shop is mostly for convenience right? I’m learning still

Yes. there is a FreeShop like app for the PC called CDNSP. It works the same way but the downloads are done to the PC, not the switch itself. It also uses donated certs, not your own

So if I do that after deleting WiFi info then there will be no connection to Nintendo servers

Yes. Again it uses donated certs and those certs can still be banned

Its very easy. Just look on reddit. There's a thread that post game updates. Not sure about firmware updates though.

Yes i know the thread you mean. Game updates are one thing since you can get them off CDNSP. Sys updates are another thing completely

Ugh it's been almost a month since the uploads on that subreddit was updated...
I prefer getting from there because I don't have to trim the XCIs myself, but it seems at this rate, I'll have to start getting new stuff, like the MHGU XCI, somewhere else.

If you get CDN banned (seemingly the default ban now), you can still update your firmware using ChoiDujourNX, and just get the Switch firmware files from places like the "dark umbrella" place or xbins.

Updating a banned system is as simple as inserting a game card with latest update in it, why people making a big deal about it, also the update files are all over (if you don’t want to buy a legit cart)

If you have a banned console, why update, even? I mean, if the system is blocked from every service, it's basically useless.
