Hi guys,

Had a hacked 3ds on 11.6 for quite a while now, I picked it up after a few months of not using it, tried to launch Homebrew Launcher and got some kind of exception error message.

So I updated my B9S and Luma3ds to the latest versions and tried again... this time opening it resulted it crashing on the generic "Homebrew" splash screen and not going any further.

Finally I installed the latest Homebrew Launcher CIA using FBI - now it loads the blue HB Launcher splash screen but crashes there instead. I can still get into the Rosalina menu but nothing else.

Anyone got any ideas where I'm going wrong here/how to fix this?

Thanks guys!

  1. Copy everything off your SD card to your computer.
  2. Reformat it as FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size. You'll need guiformat for a card bigger than 32 GB.
  3. Do a Full Write + Verify test in H2testw to ensure your card doesn't have hardware defects.
  4. If it passes, put everything back on. Replace your boot.3dsx on the root of your SD card.
  5. Redo Rosalina menu injecting your homebrew launcher.
Optionally, you may inject HBL into its own HOME Menu *.cia.

Did you update the boot.3dsx file too?

Thanks, I tried this just now, works great! :) Awesome!

I don't believe I did, I think I might have missed that somehow! Probably what got it working in the end .
