Does this work with exfat?

Anything in theory works with ExFAT. You are just rolling the dice, because you might be fine for weeks and then everything will explose out of the blue. I have one ExFAT card for NSP and a different Fat32 one for homebrew. #peaceofmind

Which 0.72 is this? 0.72, 0.72u1 or 0.72u2?

I just rebuilt a standard 0.72 set. I built a merged set, will that be ok?

Does this support samples?

The first game I tried (720 Degrees) froze my Switch :O

Had to force power down.

A lot of games just blacked screened for me but didn't freeze the Switch.

Also I can't insert coin in the Midway games like Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 and NBA Jam, minus doesn't do anything, it works ok in other games though.

One more thing, the analog stick seems really finnicky, it took me ages to remap to left and right, I kept pushing up or down instead. I was also trying to map to d-pad as well, so you have to do both actions in quick succession and I kept pushing up or down instead of left, was driving me nuts lol
I tried Tekhan World Cup and couldn't push up, down, left or right with the analog stick, it would always go in a diagonal. d-pad was fine

Thanks for your great work MVG!

Does anyone know which games are present and working in this romset that aren't in or working in pFBA?

To save space on the sd card I'd like to limit this Mame to just things that aren't already in pFBA

I'm in the same boat. Clearly Midway games are the big get (I know they do not work in pFBA), but I'm not sure of others.

Thanks again MVG for your great work; your YouTube channel is also fantastic!

I am having issues
(Yes my Switch is hacked and running Fat32 format on SX PRO) After i did the installation...
I can open the emulator just fine and scroll up and down on the menus. When i select a rom (I have MK2 (L.3) that is compatible in the roms folder) it does not display it and the MAME request me some files because they are missing (It displays a message below)
1. Namcopac.6e NOT FOUND
2. Namcopac.6f NOT FOUND
3. Namcopac.6h NOT FOUND
4. Namcopac.6j NOT FOUND
5. Pacman.5e NOT FOUND
6. Pacman.5f NOT FOUND
7. 82s123.7f NOT FOUND
8. 82s126.4a NOT FOUND
9. 82s126.1m NOT FOUND
10.82s126,3m NOT FOUND

ERROR:required files are missing, the game cannot be started. (The emulator pops this message when i select the rom menu, options menu.(The first three except for the exit selection.

I need some help with this, (i did not delete any of the contents within the files of the emulator folders)

I am also having the issue that on MK1, MK2, and MK3, insert coin (-) and start (+) buttons do not work. The inputs work as intended on a bunch of others that I tested, but not the MK titles. Are there any settings I have to change in the MAME menu? I checked the input mappings and they are correct.

Edit: Interestingly, when I select quit from the main menu of MAME-NX, instead of quitting it loads the last ROM I tried to load (in this case MK2 3.1), and the insert coin and start buttons work correctly. @MVG perhaps this can help isolate the issue?

Edit 2: It looks like pressing A on Quit doesn't actually quit, it still loads the highlighted ROM. (-) or (+) quit from the main menu. So that would mean that simply rebooting the ROMs (or perhaps MAME) fixed the issue?

Why is this an issue for homebrew but not nsp?

Well you're missing files from the game :)

Probably using a child rom from a split set.

Either put the parent rom in the roms folder as well or used merged or non merged sets

Anyone else get sound issues after playing a game for longer than 10 mins or so? The sound starts off great then eventually gets very fuzzy and choppy.

Updates: (1 hour ago)
I installed Metal slug 4 on the MAME ROM folder, unfortunately.....
1.It still does not display or detect any roms
2. It displays the EXACT SAME error, it requests me the same files i posted earlier.
Im worried about files missing from the emulator itself causing the problem. The emulator displays me that error even though i followed the installation process correctly.
I placed the rom in the MAME ROM folder. I have the NRO.file for MAME where it goes(Along with the rest of the programs, emulators etc that are NRO files).
