1-turn off internet connection and unplug the Ethernet cable after you run the exploit.
theres not reason to leave the internet on,you cant play online,so whats the deal and risk the console update itself because your mistake.
always,always,always,always. you never listen guys.

you could use the offline cache in @KiiWii 's x-project. I use a sandisk connect to update it and just that. the internet is off permanently. the only advantage of being connected is game updates, but you'd have to check the octolus site to see what the latest update requires. the system will download the latest update no matter what, so it's a gamble. this is only for legit games. fake signed games will give an error if you try to use a legit update, so stay offline if that's all you have. you might be able to find fake signed updates on the internet anyway. I've been doing this with 0'd out keystone games. I originally ripped the games and updates, but I deleted all games to make 0'd out copies. I'm using the original, ripped updates (repackaged) with them. ;)

I've read that if you click on that button called "Disable updates" in Al Azif DNS, it should automatically remove the updates...

But I might be completely wrong, or am I?:unsure:

you can tell if they're deleted by going to the update folder which I believe is on the root of the hdd. there should be a few folders in there which are blocking updates. iirc, my system has 3 of them on 5.05.
