I sure hope bbb isn't reading this thread, you people should be thankful for the xmls and jpegs. And are absolute fools to hold on to old dumps (if you can even call those dumps) and preserve partial game data. You'd be doing a disservice for generations to come and i hope you're able to cope with that because i know i couldn't

the BBB-Dumps I've seen does just contains additional xml and jpg files.
These are completely useless for the enduser.

"Just because they work doesn't make them right" my man those xmls and jpegs make all the difference. You guys aren't seeing the bigger picture here when it comes to this stuff. You don't download backups to play, you download them to preserve for future generations to observe.

All I know is every last NSP I have works just fine and my console will never touch an external network again. So even if they can ban/block all of the current NSPs downloaded with public certs with a firmware or server update it won't matter to me, I'm sure I can find something out of several hundred games I already have to play on older firmware...

Actually, most people download backups for piracy and to play them. You know, not everyone owns a video game museum, and other people "preserve" these games anyway. For most end users, those extra files don't matter.

MAYBE, just maybe its the same as the stander sufix naming convention?

Code:
Standard Codes ( ‡ explanations further down)

    [a] Alternate
    [p] Pirate
[b] Bad Dump (avoid these, they may not work!)
    [t] Trained
    [f] Fixed
    [T-] OldTranslation
    [T+] NewerTranslation
    [h] Hack
    (-) Unknown Year
    [o] Overdump
    [!] Verified Good Dump
    (M#) Multilanguage (# of Languages)
    (###) Checksum
    (??k) ROM Size
    ZZZ_ Unclassified
    (Unl) Unlicensed

So maybe this ones are Fixed instead of Good Verified.

I firmly believe that isn't true. I think the greater majority of people who download these files to do for data integrity. Quite frankly i believe you would be hard pressed to find me one person who downloaded hello kity racers because they intended to play it.

I don't know i guess it doesn't matter, you guys go your way ill go too but at the end isit where we all meet up that matters and i think that that isinfact what's itsi all about at the end of the day because we may diverge at the end it comes to coalesce into a mutually beneficial arrangement for all involved. I think that's where we find ourselves at in this moment in time.

They should organize, compress and pack these missing files, so people who want to archive it, but already downloaded those "bad, incomplete" NSPs won't have to re-download the whole thing again.

As usual, the concept of scene integrity is lost on leechers.

I knew exactly how this thread was gonna go as soon as I read the title.
I think you're the one who is lost on the purpose of this thread.

BBB claimed the nsps were wrong so we wanted to find out what they meant by wrong.
