What are the diferences between these 2 files?
reiNX bin is different size, so are some of the patches, which is newer? what are the differences?

G'day.
The files in 4.0 are still the latest files, but TomGER's updater is equally useful. I'm at a stage where I'm not sure what the future of my files might be, but I'll probably still update them on my own time as a starter pack that's easy to use.

How about if we want to keep our system offline? I may be wrong, but the current plan seems to imply an Internet connection. If that's the case, I would prefer your approach.

Oh hi :D
The big difference mine comes with is security by disabling most telemetry (creport and eclct through Atmosphere's creport and pm + stubbing title 32) and also the updater.

Both Meteos and mine ReiNX-pack will however be replaced soon so just stay updated :D Also, please just use the hekate pack, it has much more features than ReiNX

You can still update manually, it's not like the github releases are non-existing

After a trip to the discord server from ReiSwitched, they said that theTelemetry from eclct is just non-sense as in it has no use, and im not familiar with creport.
Also, i just want to play the NSP files, which Rei is the easiest to do so, isnt?

Sure, but for the average end user messing with compiling stuff and trying to figure out what files to put on the SD and where to safely download them from is a bit daunting. To me, having a starter pack or bundle put together by trusted guys like you still makes a lot of sense.

No, you can use hekate too - SDFilesSwitch v7+ has all signature patches needed
Creport -> All error reports, disabling it means that no error reports getting saved

So, eclct is useless, right? does Booting into ReiNX flags you in anyway? different from how Hekate Ctcaer does?
What it does it just prevents error reports from being sent to Nintendo by sending them to your SD card. It only applies to reports made after it is running because clearing error reports you already have could be a red flag to Nintendo so its better to run creport ASAP to prevent any bad error reports from accumulating. You can still run it to prevent more from building up but if you sent bad error logs to Nintendo already, you might have been flagged already.

He's talking about eclct and not creport :P No, eclct is not useless - There is a reason that PM disables it

So, being always offline on ReiNX would be somewhat safe, right? im always on offline / airplane mode, without any wireless networks registered.
Yeah, as long as you don't install NSPs - those are nearly an instant ban and we can't do anything about that

I'm curious about that. Why is it an instant ban? I was told as long as i dont go online with them its fine? So disable internet outright then do your thing. When you want to go legit revert to the backup before you did anything.

That works - Since you never went online and then reverted to an backup of your nand before the point you started to use nsps

So yeah, I guess it isn't one with so much work involved ;P
