2 things

1: for the reason below, my wii is without power, is there a powerless way to get a disk out? (I REALLY NEED MY MKW!!!)

2: So about 30 min ago, the power in my house was off for about 5 seconds, then It came back on (weather), and wile everything else is fine, my wii looks like it might be fried. The light on the power button is completely off (instead of the yellow when in standby, or red when completely off), unpluging-repluging does nothing, I tried another plug on the power strip, and another socket entirely, still nothing. So my question is: is the wii fried, or the power supply? (Everything else on the power strip works fine, its just the wii). And if the wii IS fried, is there a way to get all my channels and savedata? (I do have a resent nand backup)

Do you know anyone else that might have a supply you can borrow to test? If definitely test the supply before devaluing the whole thing dead. Then after that, if it is really dead, you could get s tri wing and open up everything, take apart the drive and remove the disc

I'll definitely try that, and if my wii is dead, then lets just hope I can find another one for cheap

Here in Scotland you can go into pretty much any computer store and buy a second hand wii for 10 pounds which is about 13 US dollars so whatever country you are in you should have zero issues getting one cheep.

Damn, that's impressive. Over in the US tho, you actually need to find them online.

Bah. I bought three of them from the Salvation Army a few months ago for $5 each. :)

@OP: Did you try unplugging the AC adapter from the wall/power strip and the console for a while and plug it back in? That's supposed to reset it.
