DevMenu can install to either the SD card or the system menu. The console won't let you, even after installation. The nsps are installed on the system memory iirc
EDIT: So, Tinfoil installs them to the SD card. I was thinking about DevMenu in that case.
/tinfoil/nsp/Noob question incoming, where to put NSPs to install with Tinfoil? Whenever i select Title Management>Install NSP> it just says 'Back'
If you want to be able to run a game after installing it, you must be using signature patches.
Using Tinfoil, the games will be installed to the SD card. Once we can use DevMenu in conjunction with signature patches, you will have the option of installing it to the system memory. You will still need signature patches to play the games.
Pro was $5 more and gives you the ability to launch payloads without having to connect to anything else. IMO it's worth it just for that. Booting straight into ReiNX without issue.Dammit I feel like a sucker for buying SX OS license, so glad I didn't get the pro though. But I have been happy with TX and grateful for their work for thecl minimal fee paid.
I don't understand the whole XCI NSP which is safer debate lol. Nintendo will eventually ban all our asses eventually until the scene progresses to prevent it.
It's a free CFW and runs NSPs. Just reformat your microsd as exFat and get loading whoop whoop!!!
I think a NSP cutter tool will eventually be released for those on Fat32 who are too lazy to reformat like me.
Awesome news to the Switch community and great kudos to ReiNX developers and the unofficial sig patch release.
There is a problem here and it's your avatar. Not easy on the eyes that guy.I had actually followed a guide for Ubuntu on Windows 10 with wsl, specifically written to help with compiling reinx. It had that step. I did it, but didn't work. I'll just keep old slowpoke around. (Asus Eeepc 900a)
If you bought the os believing a free option was never coming then maybe that.
Stuff like this is inevitable but this is kinda the first open sourced one.
Same here, I’m not even sure anyone on 4.1.0 has gotten it working. If if you figure it out please post it here. I would like to know. There are others too!! I posted about this problem on page 2 of this thread. Haven’t tried any of the new files yet as I’m not at home.Im on 4.1.0. I get blue screen after splash.
My sd card contains ONLY:
folders ReiNX, switch
File hbmnu.nro
I launched rei's payload through tegrarcm.
Any advice?

I would of got the pro if it was that cheap for me and didn't take so long to be delivered. You got a good deal and it has multiple uses.
Disclaimer: DLC and updates do not currently work with Tinfoil. If you want to install updates, you can use the old LayeredFS/Hekate method to launch DevMenu. For DLC, you're going to have to wait for a way to run DevMenu on ReiNX.So I was totally new to this and had warez running on my switch in 20 mins.
Have fun
- Download https://www62.zippyshare.com/v/bEiUbDme/file.html
- Make sure you have 'hbmenu.nro' on the root of your SD, if not you can find it at https://github.com/switchbrew/nx-hbmenu/releases/tag/v2.0.0
- Download tinfoil
- Place NSPs in /tinfoil/nsp
- Launch ReiNX with TegraRCMSmash or other application of choice
- Open HBL by going to 'Album' On home screen
- Open tinfoil
- Install NSP with tinfoil
It should work just fine, but there's no public way of running ReiNX and LayeredFS at the same time.Just out of curiosity has anybody tried using the sig patches with hekate?
Indeed. Even when SX becomes unnecessary, I’ll still use the dongle to boot other payloads. I’m currently triple booting SX, hekate and ReiNX. Not all of us can put together our own dongle or solder a modchip.Pro was $5 more and gives you the ability to launch payloads without having to connect to anything else. Anyone use a banned cert on a not banned console ? If yes, Have you been banned ?
Why use a midchip if they can be loaded via pc?Indeed. Even when SX becomes unnecessary, I’ll still use the dongle to boot other payloads. I’m currently triple booting SX, hekate and ReiNX. Not all of us can put together our own dongle or solder a modchip.

Ok. I hope that somebody implements the patches into hekate since it has more features and would allow us to install dlc.It should work just fine, but there's no public way of running ReiNX and LayeredFS at the same time.
