Hey there, let me explain my situation

I have two switches, one of them has autorcm mode installed but the usb is broken and I cant send a payload, luckily i made a full nand backup before it died and I had an idea that might work?

My idea is installing the broken switch's emmc to the working system and restoring my nand backup from it

Would that work? would that fix autorcm? (restore my emmc boot partition)

Thank you.

As far as I know with my 3DS experience, restoring a backup from a different console will not work

AFAIK the emmc chip is encrypted using console unique keys so it doesn't work on another switch.

not even for just restoring? damn and i guess i cant decrypt it without the original console?

the easiest option is to use D+ and D- pads on the switch board right now.

I suppose it depends on what the OP wants out of this, if it's to flash his NAND back in the hopes of being able to send the switch back to Nintendo for repair then yep more than likely that would be the easiest thing to do.

If it's to remove autoRCM to use the console normally then he is still gonna run into the problem of how to charge the switch no?

He can find + and - pads for the usb C. But yea.

the d pads on the board are gone, the port is fine but i messed the data pads installing the trinket m0, so i cant just change the usb :(

Could you post a picture of the damage? You could possibly be able to scratch the trace and solder a piece of wire.

But if you don't trust yourself you might be able to get someone in the hard mod section to do it for you. I seen some other people that messed up a trinket install and got it fixed by another member.

You can force erase the emmc on the working unit and then use HacDiskMount and flash the old nand.
could you guide me a Little bit around this? how to i force the erase of the emmc?

here you go, you can take a look at the damaged pads

And just by "removing" those 2 pads, you lost D+ and D- in the connector too? Wow, bad design.
You can try and trace them somewhere where you can solder to it again.

yes, i'll do this weekend, thankfuly @mattytrog helped me out with that

still I though that maybe the method I mentioned could work, but im still not too sure about that

could you help me out @CTCaer ? should I even try?

The per-console keys will stop you swapping NANDs.
You cannot send memloader without payload-pushing which requires USB

You need to solder them USB lines.

TRY THIS: You could swap the AutoRCM NAND into the good console (but don`t try to boot the console - not happening) and push SXOS or Hekate and disable AutoRCM then swap the NAND back.

Docked mode should still work (for TV out purposes) but anything you plug into the dock won`t work with the D+/- pads gone.

Ill try that, thank you!

Still, swapping nands is not exactly what I want to do, I have a nand backup of the original emmc i was hoping that maybe i could restore it with the working system

Very doubtful. But if Hekate can completely ignore TrustZone then maybe? Never tried it. But don`t hold your breath.
