Thing is, airplane mode will not help when playing docked since this automatically disables airplane mode and connects to Wifi... well, that's how I accidentally happened to go online and update games while in SX OS, so it has happened now and it's too late anyway, don't care anymore. I won't be using devmenu at the moment but wait for a nsp installer, but if I get banned, I'll DevMenu right away. Maybe the right moment to download Pokemon Quest...

This isn’t true. Played docked and airplane mode is still active

Yah I haven't gotten banned so it's more of people who go online while using SX OS. It clearly states on SX OS that you have to update your games either manually or OFW. It's at your own risk. Turn off your auto-update before using SX OS or modifications. I was on dock mode and on ethernet while on SX OS. I didn't use eshop or updated any games, and no ban (as of yet). I doubt Nintendo will ever do a ban wave not when they are printing money. They are just doing basic security. It's the same as PC, you cannot use pirated multiplayer games because the server will ban you. Basically common sense. That's why Nintendo will just patch their new systems this year, and be done with it

Airplane mode is still active but your internet is also active on dock mode, connect to eshop right now and you will see.

Was also banned this morning after using it roughly for two weeks. A game crashed and while I didn't send the log manually to Nintendo the internet connection being active in docked mode/updating games on OFW afterwards prolly still screwed me. Gonna enjoy dev mode now and get some eshop games.

Never ran into the error code/crashes that people report in docked mode more than once tho, so cances are it's a faulty SD or something like that.

I played it safe and removed my internet settings from the switch

I always stayed online (thought disabling "receive-lp1.dg.srv.nintendo.net" would be enough telemetery data not being sent). Didn't use my Switch for a couple of days, but I checked it upon looking at this thread. I'm banned too, oh well they let you update not-legit backups :tpi:

It's actually starting to feel like getting banned would be a relief for some people as they can now concentrate on enjoying the games instead of worrying :D

Okay. When I play docked it says airplane mode not available. It was active before and automatically (!) deactivated once I docked. It's greyed out, I can not activate it.
Probably because I use the Joycons in the grip when playing docked, and airplane mode wouldn't work with that. Logically. If you connect a wired pad it probably works docked in airplane, otherwise no wireless gamepad connection.

There's certain things you can enable even in airplane mode such as Bluetooth which is needed for the joycons.

Yup Console banned couple nights ago I think. Not too bothered but I didn't get a chance to download Pokemon Quest for DevMenu but thankfully it works with Bayonetta.

It clearly states on SX OS that you have to update your games either manually or OFW. It's at your own risk.

From the FAQ:
Q: Is it possible to install Game Updates (and does it requires to be on the latest firmware)?
A:
Yes, you can install game and system updates. The game updates can be applied following Nintendo's usual rules, which sometimes requires you to be on the latest or a higher firmware than your console's current firmware.

I don't like the fact that the team responsible for SX OS clearly has no clue regarding the matter. People obviously get banned by doing this and some don't. They don't even mention "at your own risk", they do however regarding online play (which is more common sense).

People get banned while taking all precautions, mainly updating through OFW, never touching devmenu/layeredFS/installing .NSP's and only updating games which aren't trimmed.
Some argue that Nintendon't check the certificate/header for games when updating.. if that were true, people shouldn't get banned just by updating.
