atmosphere is making fusee gelee, which replaces hekate entirely
if you could read, you'd probably know that

um fuse gelee is Ktemkins exploit to gain access to the bootloader Atmosphere is a CFW hekate is just a early Compiled atmosphere Atmosphere will completely replace hekate when its finished. Fusee gelee will not replace anything beaceause its just the entry point to install the CFW's

wait i thought hekate was just a fusee gelee clone that boots an early version of atmosphere, and the bootloader is the hekate part
awkward now i need to read some
be right back, repairing sysmodules

However the question now is if they truly did use Atmosphere code, how could we have figured it out? We have one piece of evidence
If after decryption this string is the only common thing I'll safely say they don't use said code or this is their own re-implementation.
It is pretty obvious when the code is re-used, right on the functional level: return type, number and type of params etc.

But decryption itself may not be trivial task...

Fusee Gelee=allows you to hack Switch's USB port in RCM
Hekate=a WIP payload/bootloader that lets you skip the Switch bootloader
Fusee=the real payloader to be designed for Atmosphere use in the future and will replace Hekate
Atmosphere=WIP CFW that can currently launch homebrew and use LayeredFS

hekate never was based on Atmosphere. Actually, it's even the opposite, since Fusée uses code from hekate.
People just used it with parts of Atmosphere, but hekate is built independently from the ground up. To put it simply, it would be an alternative to the Fusée part of Atmosphere, which isn't functional yet, as far as I'm aware.

No and @Draxzelex is wrong too
Hekatee= is pretty much a compiled Atmoshphere+some extras like Nand Backup ETC( this could be wrong but im 90 percent sure)
Fusee Gelee= is just the entry point for RCM so we can run Payloads Every Payload you Run Regardless of what you load has Fusee code in it or it wouldnt work
Fusee= i dont know why he would think its different Its just fusee gelee their both the same
Atmosphere= Once released Will Pretty much replace Hekate Except A few tools that are included with the Hekate payload but they could just be added to a Atmosphere Payload instead. Instead of a CTCear Hekate he would probably make a CTCear Atmosphere its be more viable unless Atmosphere includes those tools

NOOOOOOO dude that guy must be on mars Hekate uses fusee payload to gain Kernel level access thats how we can install CFW.
Everytime we launch a payload we are only able to run it beceause of the fusee gelee exploit
Pretty much everything we run we have to used fuee gelee as an entry point first.
Hekate is based on Hekate it just has some tools + allows us to boot a compiled version of atmosphere that can run homebrew

trying to pull some shit where "xecuter isn't forcing anyone to pirate"
yeah and gun makers aren't forcing you to shoot them
If I am not mistaken Kalashnikov and Colt are not convicted of murder.
So yeah, they are not forcing you to shoot people. Even if you PAY (omfg!) for the gun.

Best $29 I've ever spent for video games. I'm not gonna pay more than $0 for games that I already have for the Wii U (MK8, BOTW, DK etc).

Is this the pinacle of reverse engineering nowadays? Opening a hex editor and finding common strings? Im not convinced..

Let's try this again with proper sources shall we? First, we will start with Fusee Gelee. This is the name of the exploit itself. While roughly translating to cold rocket, its synonyms include ShofEL2 and the official term: CVE-2018-6242. It also happens to be the name of the launcher that sends the payloads in the first place.

With a launcher, now we need payloads. And two of them double as bootloaders. Namely, Hekate and Fusee.

Since we hijacked Nintendo's boot process, it makes sense to insert our own. For example, Nintendo's bootloader checks the fuses burnt and prevents the console from booting up when we have less fuses burnt than normal. Hekate and SX OS Loader do this now with Fusee being able to do this eventually.
The only files left are the SD files which are compiled from the CFW, Atmopshere. One of the most prominent ones is the nx-hbloader.
