got it to work thanks
Even though you got it to work already, here are the instructions for everyone else:

You need to install the PC version of Wolfenstein 3D (Either the steam version or the GOG.com version seem to work) on your PC, then go to the installation directory of the game (For the steam version you can right click on the game in your library and select "show local game files" or whatever it is called in english. For the GOG version you provided a directory during install). You'll find a bunch of files with the file extension ".wl6" - Copy these to your switches SD card into the folder /switch/wolf4sdl/wolf3d.

Sorry for the wait guys v1.0 is out with joystick support: https://github.com/keeganatorr/Wolf4SDL-Switch/releases/

I just can't get this working tried everything.

You need to create a folder called 'wolf4sdl' in the switch folder on your sd card and put the .nro in there.

Then copy the wolf3d folder from an installation of Wolf3d on your computer, you can get this from GOG or Steam.
Make sure these files are in it (except Wolf3d.exe you dont need that) and run the game from the homebrew launcher.
