Ok then... This is quite the odd nutcase... Anyways, you should have a rawnand.bin . Right? (rawnand.bin is your complete switch backup (exluding boots, but those are not broken since you can boot into switch os))

Yep I do have that on my sd card and my PC backed up

OK then. https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/ Download memloader, and hacdiskmount. Open memloader.zip open the samples folder and drag and drop everything IN the samples folder to the root of the sd card. from there open/ use a program called tegrarcmsmash (Gui works too.) Then launch that payload (switch in rcm mode... duh) From there it's going to have a list, choose the emmc. Your switch screen will go black but not dark. from there open hacdiskmount with admin privliages. Open the switch dump you backup by clicking file and open file . Double click on the system partion, on around bottom of the new window you should see a dump option. Set the dump to be on your desktop. From there (once it's done) click file and close. Then click file again, and this time click open physical device. You should see something like linux ums. Open that. Then double click on the system partion, and click restore. (make sure it's pointing the restore option to the desktop) You will have to wait a bit. wait for the full restore to finish. Once it's done, *you should get confirmation down at the bottom when it's done in the log. It will also say 100% in the bar*

So steps simplified
step1:download https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/ hacdiskmount and memloader
step2:open memloader.zip and open the samples folder, drag and drop everything inside to the root of the microsd
step3: use tegrarcmsmash(gui) and set the payload to be memloader
step4: switch into rcm mode. and launch payload
step5:select emmc
step6:open hacdiskmount.exe as admin
step7:click file, open file, and select your switch backup
step8:double click system
step9:dump system
step10 click file and press close
step11: Click file, open physical drive/device
step12:select linux ums, or the thing that has ums in it's name and is about 29 gb
step13:open system
step14:click restore (making sure the restore is coming from system.bin)
step15:once done, shut system off by holding power button.
Note:Ingore the keys, leave those fields alone.

Thanks for writing me those steps out I really appreciate it; but I just got Mario kart working again by formatting my SD card completely on my PC, then copying a backup i had from June 11th of my sd card.. and for some reason that fixed it. Fallout shelter still giving an error but that's not an issue at all. Very strange.. but i'm going to delete today's backup as whatever i did recently broke that one game somehow.

ok good to know it's not a system issue... sounds like your sd card might be a fake then. (claims to have xx amount of size but really has xx< less than size. so a 64gb micro sd as a fake could be 8gb. but displays and advetises as a 64gb)

Hmm I don't think so i have a sandisk ultra 200gb micro sd card and I used to use this on a GPD WIN (handheld computer) for roms and had 170gb used up on it before

Has anyone confirmed that the game loading fix works on the latest firmware? The reason I ask is because we thought the sleep mode fix worked on all firmwares but it was later discovered that it was not fixed for 3.X users.

Not the latest fw here but I can confirm that games work on 5.0.2
