Since there are no announced eShop titles worth squat, and only rehashed games (that will be released on cartridges), I don't see any compelling reason to stay on a low firmware. The only games worth pirating will be released on cartridge. And "worth" is relative.

2016: Zelda had the longest E3 line ever. So it was a success.
2017: Nintendo announced a lot of games many people wanted. So it was a success.
Zelda was a good game and had been hyped for 4 years so of course it would attract a large line. But does one first party title equal a success? Does it make Nintendo's E3 presentation varied and wonderful?

I guess your idea of a lot and my idea of a lot are 2 different things. BOTW Champions Ballad was nothing new, nor was the inevitable Pokemon Switch which wasn't even shown, just mentioned. Metroid Prime 4 was a logo, Mario Odyssey was nothing new. Yoshi was new, Kirby was new... then you move onto the 3DS which got a staggering 2 titles. Let me regain my composure.

Sony had the exclusives, Microsoft has finally woken up to understand what they are missing (exclusives) while they build on other aspects of their platform (backwards compatibility, best multiplatform console) and Nintendo did nothing more than keep showing smash.
I know Smash is big, but E3 is not just a direct. E3 is the ONE place where you have all important parts of the industry looking at you. But Nintendo is an alien company, they don't think like anyone else. Bless them!

Well most of the time pirates were not going to pay for the game in reality so if you subtract 0 to the sell we call it even, Ive 2 switch games, xenoblade and mario, and I wont be spending a dime on games for the platform, I am a pirate, the kind that do it for fun and because what the hell having the whole library is nice lol, but there are pirates that test the games before buying if they really like it, they buy it, not blindly like most of the people do, or waiting for reviews before buying, and also there are people that do not have the money to buy their favorite games, so they cannot buy them, so they pirate them, like I said if you subtract 0 to the sell is still 0, most people buy their games, they buy the micro transaction, if not companies would be like we are poor, we wont do any more games
Something that is sorta like piracy for people is used games, a user pays 60 dollars for a game, they sells it for like 40 dollars when he is finished, and then that user sells it for 20, and so on so on, the companies wont receive any more money, you are kinda pirating the game by sharing it with others, lol its funny like that is legal

Nintendos E3 was good because it had quality over quantity, and thats way more important, at least to me.

Facts don't care about your feelings. Also, the switch isn't my platform or anybody else's unless they do not own a Pc or any other gaming system but the switch. So your strawman argument of
""If it is not on my platform its shit!"" does not apply. My preferred platform is my Pc. Death Stranding doesn't look impressive at all, despite the hype it had. The last of us is a movie like experience. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. Ghost of Tsushima wasn't all that impressive looking either, in terms of gameplay. It could be good, but we don't know yet.

So I guess I must be hyping up every Nintendo exclusive? Despite the fact that I didn't buy arms, or even splatoon 2 because they didn't seem impressive to me.

Spot on! Not that I don't like playing Mario Kart or Zelda or a Mario Galaxy/Odyssey type game but these franchises are getting stale. I played the heck out of Odyssey for about a month after I got it but eventually the newness wore off and I can't remember the last time I played it. I think I'm 3/4 of the way through but just lost the interest.

Speaking of game prices, I remember very distinctly that when people would complain about $50 and $60 games eons ago, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft would say, "Hey, it takes lots of money to package and deliver those games."
Then, high speed internet came into existence (and digital delivery of games) but guess what, prices stayed the same. They've been raping us for decades. Piracy is a way to recoup some of that money.
You get the support from the product, you wont get a refund because well it works with rcm so there is no way nintendo could patch it, unless they change your hardware, there could be problems at some time, but for each update you must be wary to update only if its safe, if its not wait a little
For everyone mad/sad about E3 (for whatever reason, imo Nintendo did well. E3 is not what it was a couple of years ago. They don't blow 100% of their announcements there) remember that gamescom is on 21st of August. I expect some other announcements there as tons of games announced at E3 are already released before gamescom.
