I'm still not sure, it just looks like smash 4 with graphic enhancements and some improvements. Is it a port?

(But I don't think it matters at this point tbh)

And new characters, I doubt it's a simple port. But it might depends on your definition of "porting".

I think getting hung up on if it's a port or not is completely missing the point. All you'll end up doing is arguing the definitions of a port.

At the end of day it's got every single Smash character from every single Smash game, for anyone who gives a shit about Smash that's an absolute deal breaker.

It looked absolutely amazing, and that's all that really matters.

It is a straight up port. Same engine, ame graphics, just added characters, stages and a few mechanics improvements.

Yet people still will praise the fuck out of sakurai for being lazy.

The game can't look much better, without it looking awkward as fuck.

I don't want to boot up the game, play as mario and he looks like that.

so every game sequel is a port then, they always add more characters stages and new mechanics and call it a sequel...

srs what you said can be said to every game that uses the same engine to make a sequel which is 99% of games.

guess wolfenstein 2 is not a sequel but a port with a new story and maps...

With all of those improvements and new stuff I wouldn´t really call it a port

Oh I get it now. I guess new graphics and characters already make the game not a port. Heck, even Mario Galaxy 2 is considered a sequel.

There is a difference. From brawl to sm4sh there was a huge improvement over the gameplay style, assets and engine. This one shares just too much with sm4sh, even after watching a a bit of the threehouse all i see is sm4sh but with a few tweaks in the gameplay.
Would really try to upload comparative images of the two, but i really dont want to expend time doing that when i can be playing or drawing dicks.
