What did I skip?
The installation requires more than just installing the 4 .cia's and there is no instruction on how to set the donor rom.

R.I.P. TWLoader, died in favor of is older cousin.../QUOTE]
Actually, TWLoader came first, then SRLoader.
There's also the tedious process of adding games from the flashcart to the TWLoader menu.R.I.P. TWLoader, died in favor of is older cousin...
I mean, is your time, your code and your project, but I think NTR/TWL mode is limited comparing CTR one... I know that soft-reset couldn't be accomplished on CTR mode (maybe with luma implementing that "launch title on boot" feature), but it's a bit extreme choice for only one feature... I haven't updated my setup in a while, but IMHO "reboot in SRLoader" was a good trade off for rapid game changing...
Updating will return into the DSiMenu++ Launcher. For example, can we auto-update bootstrap builds via wifi with Dsimenu++? Or it was ditched thanks to github TLS v1.2? Can we set the rgb led?(ok this is a stupid one)
I'm saying it takes more time to develop two things at once. And from a developer perspective, it is harder / takes more time to develop homebrew on the 3ds on on the dsi?
IIRC, Dsi homebrews only supports WEP security, right? That's an example of 3ds superiority...Updating will return into the DSiMenu++ Launcher.
No, that's original DS homebrew. DSi homebrew supports WPA2.IIRC, Dsi homebrews only supports WEP security, right? That's an example of 3ds superiority...
I'm glad that you and the other are still developing for this platform, but still hope that sometime in the future you will backport some legacy features TWLoader, like the ability to work with newer bootsrap versions, but excluding the cheat selector for example...

Also, I removed setting the donor ROM.
Nope. It is no longer required.Ah, that wasn't linked in the OP, just the github page which didn't mention it.
I guess I'm just looking for clarification: Is a donor ROM no-longer required? The line in the .ini file is still there for it.
Yes, it's coming back. Also, please tell us the RGB color cycling notification LED is coming back. That was the most important feature!
Nope. It is no longer required.
The DSi supports WPA2, but homebrew can't access DSi's WiFi chip yet, so we can only use the DS WiFi chip in DSi mode. This is an issue on DSi AND 3DS in DSi mode. No, that's original DS homebrew. DSi homebrew supports WPA2.
Both the rainbow LED and DS/DSi boot screen have been returned in the DSiMenu++ (CTR-mode side) Launcher (starting with v1.1.0).What else is coming back to dsimenu++? (if you don't mind the list of things)
Starting with this release, DSiMenu++ (previously known as SRLoader) replaces TWLoader, as TWLoader is now discontinued...
Sure, would like that! Send away!@Robz8 Hello once again. Wanted to PM you but AFAIK I need 15 posts to do so
I made a mockup how DSimenu++ launcher could mimic DSi settings UI. Don`t know if you can and want to bring it to life, but I am ready to provide all graphics you need.
Sure, would like that! Send away!
Text will be rendered by 3DS.Text will be rendered by 3DS or you need all graphics with text already placed?
Nope. I can change the color of some images. Also do you need separate buttons for pressed state?
