ok so ive formatted to exfat and it keeps getting stuk but reformatted to fat 32 and now im on %14 fingers xrossed
Depends.
My Samsung 128GB Evo+ (version /w U3) takes around 28 minutes with verification on and 75GB free space.
U3 and free space play a big role.
1. What do you mean exactly? All of them should be different from anything else. sm.bin and warmboot.bin are included in pkg_decr.bin and all of them are included in BOOT0. The fuses are from your SoC.
2. Ofcourse. BOOT0 and BOOT1 are not included in rawnand.bin. They are from different eMMC physical partitions. Your eMMC has 4 partitions, as I wrote in OP, BOOT0, BOOT1, RPMB (unused) and GPP (rawnand.bin).
Lastly, the GPP has 10 logical partitions (user, system, safe, etc).
EDIT:
Anyway, from all of these you just want BOOT0, BOOT1 and rawnand.bin to have the complete eMMC backup.
Where do you try to format all these cards?Whenever I try to boot into Atmosphere, I receive an error stating the following:
Error: No Fat/Fat32/exFat filesystem
Failed to mount SD card (FatFS Error 13).
<Make sure that a Fat type partition exists>
I've tried 4 different Micro SD Cards: A 4GB Toshiba, 8GB SanDisk, 32GB SanDisk, and a 64GB PNY. I've tried multiple different cluster sizes and such, to no avail however. Help would be appreciated!
BOOT0 changes on reboot. The only change is a ~40 byte pseudorandom data and increment at 0x184000. No biggie, it's normal.Hi, thanks for your interested on my post. For the dump time isn't a big issue even because the whole isn't something that you do everyday. Anyway the issue can be even the FAT32 filesystem. I'm quite sure in exFat is faster.
Your reply below :
1) I mean, my understanding is that if you dump, for example, Boot0 3 times and you compare with FC command, if they were identical, you should be always the same files. Same applied to other file like Boot1 and so on...
2) Ok sure even because they were dumped separately (I mean Boot0 and Boot1).
Anyway... Today I'll perform, just because I've time, the third dump of everything and keep with the other backup. I'm quite sure will be better to have another set of backup instead of one less.
Thanks for your big offer in that payload!!!
Cool did you test anything else?yes, it works on 3.0.2.
VBA Next and pFBA work for example.
Cool did you test anything else?
lot of the other stuff didn't work for me, but I don't think that's really relevant, most of the stuff is going to be recompiled in the comming weeks to work on every fw.Cool did you test anything else?
I've tried both Windows Explorer and MiniTool Partition Wizard.Where do you try to format all these cards?
Try this one first:I've tried both Windows Explorer and MiniTool Partition Wizard.
Just tried it, getting the same error unfortunately.Try this one first:
It will fix the partition offset automatically. After that, if you want to format the card again, use windows explorer.
Wait a little bit for the new version. It has some extra error messages in FatFS and we can learn what goes wrong.Just tried it, getting the same error unfortunately.
You misunderstood. hbmenu has nothing to do with hekate and atmosphere.Does this version of Hekate run a version of HB Menu that works on 5.1.0? People are reporting hangs when trying to use a modified HB Menu on 5.1.0 plus the creator said only his version from Atmosphere works.
I thought so.SciresM
You misunderstood. hbmenu has nothing to do with hekate and atmosphere.
It's homebrew that launches homebrew.
Everything is on the atmo files (sm.kip1 and loader.kip1).
If these are the latest, compatible with hekate and compatible with 5.1.0, everything is OK.
The problem with the current sdfiles.zip is that they are almost a month old.
People don't even use the latest hbemenu btw.
Anyway. If the creator* said that only his custom atmosphere runs, that means that these files will work with upstream hekate and hekate ctcaer mod.
*Who is this creator?
What update broke sd support?... I found somewhere that with the last update the SD support was broken...
What update broke sd support?
Btw, you tried https://gbatemp.net/attachments/hbmenu-20180529-7z.126654/ ?
It's the one I have in OP.
