Hello all,
I have searched the internet and have had no luck finding a solution to this issue. Basically, I installed Homebrew on my Wii via letterbomb (cant insert link as a new member) and it has been working fine, however, I wanted to change the background of the home screen and install other things ect. A few websites have told me that I need Priiloader or similar to create a backup in case my Wii bricks itself. All the videos I found teach you how to install Priiloader, but their SD cards are empty when they start, do they have Homebrew? Do you do this before installing Homebrew?
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it,
Thanks,
Deconator

p.s. I am new to Wii hacking, having only installed Homebrew a few days ago. Please be patient if I don't have a clue what you are on about.

Use BootMii immediately after you install the Homebrew Channel to back up your NAND.

Your Wii won't brick itself. Just don't install WADs that have visible channel banners/icons unless you know where they came from and they're tested. You can install the channel on Dolphin's system menu to make sure it doesn't crash the menu.
