What happened with this and do we know why it was taken out? Wonder if it could be put back in with more games on the main menu. That would be pretty awesome in Atmosphere. Built in NES emulator. Just A thought.

When 4.0.0 has released Nintendo updated the title, they removed its launcher (that detects the "directly to you" motion) and replaced the emulator itself with garbage code.

You can redirect the now-garbage-code back to the original exefs if you have a copy of it, but you'd still need a way to launch it (luckily kgsws has been experimenting with adding an icon for it in the main menu)
So it's going to be freely available for the older FW it was already in. K just wonder thought it would be cool to have it on the newer FW it was removed from. I'll look for this guys work and check it out myself.

I believe it was meant to be a tribute that was never meant to be opened. There's a name for it in Japanese, but I don't remember the name.

Anyways, when hackers started messing with it, apparently it was opened and thus they had to remove it.

FLOG's a good one as it's pure ExeFS, and has no RomFS.
(Well, technically it does, as all NCAs need a RomFS partition, but inside is just a null file called "AtLeastOneFile")

does that mean that it is possible to host flog in an sd to be detected by the nintendo switch? using cfw blade is it possible to do it? or do you have a payload to inject exefs into the console? show an example and make history :-)

my bad then read it was on the early switches and once you connect online its gone.

i guess when cfw is out someone will awaken it, just give it some time

Found the quote from reddit:

"If they're following tradition, they removed it because it's like opening an omamori, ruins the charm.
When people found it, it was done being a charm. You never open an omamori, lest the blessing flee from inside."

From the Omamori Wiki:
Omamori (御守 or お守り omamori) are Japanese amulets commonly sold at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, dedicated to particular Shinto kami as well as Buddhist figures, and are said to provide various forms of luck or protection.

Looks like the Switch's luck has run out, since after FLOG was found (or opened), the console was blown wide open. Good job dev's. You broke it. :ninja:
