Has anyone tried to connect the switch to the new DEX dock that Samsung introduced recently?

It connects to the phone via USB-C connection and supplies HDMI, USB and other ports.

Any info would be welcome.

For instance on Amazon, there are several portable docks / hubs sold as working with both samsung latest phones and the Switch.
When these non Samsung docks are plugged to the phones, they trigger the DEX mode anyway.
Thus, it seems that the original DEX uses a pretty standard USB-C connection.

Being on the forum from a short time, I cannot include links in my replies to show it.

However, if some forum members bought one of those docks / hubs for their phone, could they please just give it a try?

I suggest you test it yourself and report back on what happens. If it works and that's what you wanted, you can keep it and use it as a Switch dock. If it doesn't and you have no other use for it, send it back. Easy as that.

Especially in times when third-party Switch docks, that are even advertised as compatible, are reported to be causing bricks, you should definitely not ask others to test stuff like that for you.
