i edited my post to post findings from nswdb, 23 out of 109 scene dumps are over 8gb. 20 are 8gb that leaves 76 at under 4GB

Again, slackspace.

If you have lots and lots of 2 or 4k files in the game's folder, stored on a fat32 volume formatted with a 32k cluster size, the full 32k of "free space" is allocated for each one. This can add up quickly. Size of the blob is less important than size on disk.

But this backup loader could be released before the final release of Atmosphere, or we must wait?
A backup loader can theoretically be released anytime. Having Atmosphere around would make it a lot easier but not a guarantee. Piracy is an inevitability when it comes to hacking so its down to when.

Realistically, it will come out sometime after Atmosphere is done.

Slackspace is only relevant when talking about extracted games.
But they are shared in xci containers.

Hopefully a backuploader will just read these xci files.

Indeed. However, modded titles might need to be unpacked. At this point it is speculation. I prefer to err on the side of cynicism and be pleasantly surprised, than to err on the side of optimism, and get burned.

Everyone is talking about playing back up loader but we need a backup loader to dump our games. I know we can download but I’m taking about backing up our own carts. We still do t have a way while bb has been doing it for a while.

Well the math doesn't quite add up.. Fails shofEL2 was before FG and TXs video was posted a week before fails.

So how is it a FG ripoff?

well if you see it this way is that Xecuter is using an Modified version of Hekate or Like it to launch an boot menu over RCM at the end you could do just the same like they did right now if you could patch the right spots in the FS Module

They're not taking any steps to not enable piracy. They just simply are not making a backup launcher at launch. Atmosphere will be fully capable of running backups when its done, someone else just has to do that part.
I got a better idea. Someone should dump TX's backups loader and implement it to Atmosphere, or something like that.

I have only ever bought two games in my entire life, the first one was Super Mario Land (along with a Gameboy at the same time) in 1995. I saved and did odd jobs and somehow managed to get enough to afford it. Fortunately back then my parents could pay the bills while I focused on finding ways to make money.

Now as an adult my entire paycheck goes to towards food, rent, bill, etc. I have $20 saved right now. Every single game I've played since then has been pirated on my PC. I spent the last 6 years saving a few bucks here and there to afford some new things for myself. Along with some fortunate circumstances I managed to save $450 by 2017 and bought a Switch and BOTW in December. Now my time is done with this game and I am looking for a new one.

I hope people here now understand my circumstances and accept why I am driven to piracy. It is the only way I can get some joy in my miserable existence.

On a separate note to piracy... What have you done to change that? I'd truly like to know how and why you're where you are. I grew up, what is considered poor. My mum budgeted what little income we had, I learnt from that. For Christmas, my best Christmas on memory, we got a second hand NES, 2 years after the SNES launched.

I turned working in a supermarket at 15 into a career. I won't go into savings and money, but anyone with the right mind set and drive can turn a small income into a large sum.

I don't think of it or call it piracy i think of it as cloning , the original is still there at the shop in someones house, ie has not be taken away and the person or the shop now has lost a original , so they have lost nothing a clone has been made , just like if i photo copy a page out of a school text book , the school still has the BOOK and the page is still in the book'
It has not been removed and taken away ,i have a copy , the school has not lost any $$$ or the PAGE it is still there, in the terms of a GAME they have lost a potential sale ie if JBHIF gets in 100 copy's of POKEMON on switch and little sly jimmy comes along and clones Pokemon on his CFW switch puts the switch game back in its case and puts if back on the shelf and goes home JBHIFI still has all 100 copy's of the game they have not lost a cent , if they sell all 100 copy's to people off the street , and say they have lost money because sly jimmy has a copy , they cant, they received 100 copy's in the back door sold a 100 copy's out the front door, they do not have a MISSING game cart for them to say we are one short , they might lose the potential for a sale, which is not the same as if sly jimmy went home from work that day with 5 copy's of the switch game in his pocket and the next day JBHIF finds out they only have 95 copy's then yes they have lost sales/games. if a clone has been made the original is still there whether it is on the shelf or in some ones home, its not like you make a copy of a music cd you got for the car and the original CD is suddenly gone, no it is still there ,

game company sell 100 copy's to a game shop
game shop pays game company for 100 games
game shop sells 100 games to 100 people
one person clones a game no one has lost a cent a real cent , yes a potential but not a real
game company has received all the money owed
game shop has made all the money back plus there mark up
game company no real loss but a potential loss in the term of the shop might order one more
game shop no real loss but a potential loss in the term of the customer might order one more

How's that cock taste?

I thought the new doongle from team xecuter allowed to run backups, i am mistaken?
It does. You see anybody with one already?

I'm fine with people playing backups of their games. The only thing I don't like is people distributing that copy of the game online and allowing others to download it.

Guess what I'll be doing ;)
