Hi all,

I'm trying to permanently flash my PSP go, I've followed all tutorials for the 6.61 Infinity method, it all goes perfectly except for the final permanent part. My current firmware is 6.61 LME-2.3(infinity symbol). when opening Infinity Bootloader Configuration, i have no options to install. The 'Update from Internet' option replies with Error sending HTTP Request. The 'Update from Memory Card/Internal Storage' option replies with Could not open update file.

I've found nothing online at all similar to this, any help???

Use LME on 6.20. It's better on the PSP GO. It's permanent patched and it doesn't break your "pause" feature. It's also more compatible with homebrew.

Or why not 6.60 pro c? I never understood why using the quick start for cfw was such a big deal, its just as compatible as 6.61 except for the psn which is dead for the psp anyways so I just don't understand.

Can you explain whats better? Ive been using 6.60 and have no problems?
It's more compatible with older homebrew and themes, it supports coldboot cfw even on newer models (minus the street, it doesn't support 6.20), and it has (with pro or lme) a built in exploit to run games that require a higher firmware. So it can play the whole library. It really is the best firmware to be on.

So, basically it has cold boot and compatiblity... could care less bout that but thanks for the info, the quick start takes 5 seconds and 6.60 does what I need it to, for op maybe 6.20 is better but to each their own.

Yeah, if it works fine for you that's cool. I was just letting OP know. Infinity sucks on the GO. Not only does it break compatibility with a lot of older homebrew (even more than regular 6.6x), it also breaks the "pause" feature on PSP GO.

First off, big apologies for not thanking everyone for replying, its been a while since i've seen this thread again.

I've been out of the PSP scene for some years, what is this "pause" feature?

This sounds like what i'd like overall, i really want to play DOOM and QUAKE again, on my psp would be epic! could i do that with 6.20?

Forgive me but what is a cold boot?

How hard is it to downgrade to 6.20 from 6.61LME / infinity?

Thanks in advanced all, and a REALLY big thanks you for telling me this!! seriously!!!!!

pause is like a built in save state

you can pause a game, and close it, then launch something else.

then you can resume your pause at a later point and go back to the original game you paused

The pause feature is like save states. It's only on the GO. You can do everything on 6.20. A cold boot cfw is when you start your portable/console and it's already hacked when you power it on.

Wait... I thought Infinity supported pause now.

pretty sure the pause bug was fixed and most homebrew works as long as you have LME and that retrocompat plugin

It was fixed in 1.02 but that was pulled from his website because it broke even more things. (The current download is still 1.0.) When I say more compatible with homebrew, I'm talking about legacy homebrew like plugins that never got updated past 6.35.

Nope, that's a changelog for a version that never released. (Or I should say it did but got pulled.)

i know that some homebrew isnt compatible, thats why i mentioned LME, it comes with a plugin to run legacy homebrew
