Wow amazing progress!
Thank you @SciresM and all involved devs out there.

I wonder why there are still barely any homebrews for the Switch. Firmware 3.0 already allows accessing HBL, am I right?
So shouldn't be there more things to come in that direction (new Emulators, Homebrew Games and Apps)?
Well, we didn't have as much control of Switch as you may think. Most Hb can be make right now can't even use full Switch power yet, not considering things like switching portable mode or using split joy-cons.

They don't call it 'frozen rocket' just to be cool, this is doomsday that everyone was worried about would happen once it was out in wild. -- Already reports of dozen's of splatoon2 bundles being sold in north korea and iran! :)
LOOL, now we need to call TERMINATOR!!

Some people also are asking the question, how much of the Switch hacking effort was directly Trumps achievement - and I can assure you, it was all of it. (It has nothing to do with the historical fact, that international politics always change, when a state has required nuclear first strike capabilities.)
Exactly - they even had to hide the hidden button from the bastid .

Firmwares 1.0.0-3.0.0 have access to HBL. There are a few standalone emulators and some cores in RetroArch are working(some homebrew has 3.0.0 requirements and may not work on lower firmwares).

As a PC gamer, Switch games are asininely expensive. Oh, and it certainly will work btw. Offline at least.

Ehm, no? PC games are in the same range? Those priates should be banned from here.

And I truly, truly hope piracy won't happen. The switch is a great console. I'm happy if I can run homebrew and emulators for systems, where I bought the game before. Linux is also great: To have the switch as a maintenance device for remote work is just awesome.

piracy will happen 100%.

well for all switches with FW above 3.0.0, fusee Gelee remains the only most viable entry point right??? and a pc is always required everytime we launch the exploit?? @SciresM any possible coolboot for =>3.0.0 in the future?

We can also launch the exploit using our OTG enabled android phones

damn, i will forever regret throwing away my 65$ on that pokken trash.

nevertheless , this is fantastic news.
happy for you <3.0 owners!!

Better not be playing any commercial roms on those emulators!!
We're not putting Nintendo and Third-Party support in danger when emulating GBA titles that Nintendo is too lazy to bring as virtual console / release a GBA Mini. I can only buy a GBA off ebay and nintendo won't make any additional money. I'd be glad to buy every game on every console for 15 bucks but they don't realize that people like me exist. Or choose to ignore it.

However, pirating *new* games on a *young* plattform is just wrong. Now back to topic.

Pirating commercial roms is piracy, no matter what excuse you make.
