I know we're all excited about Homebrew, CFW, and all that stuff for the Switch. I am super excited as well.

However, posting threads asking about the "Progress" on these things won't give you any information on it. I've done it before, but I've learned from that mistake. I know the we're all playing the waiting game for Homebrew, but we all must be patient. Most of us aren't developing the Homebrew. We need to be thankful that we have such talented people to work on it.

So stop posting threads asking "When is 4.1 Homebrew coming" or "When is CFW coming" or "When can we pirate games." The answer is soon. People post updates all the time in this forum, so rather than asking these questions with no good answer, READ THE UPDATES AND WAIT! The scene is moving so fast anyway, I don't understand why people are so impatient.

The correct title is "When will people stop threads asking about "When"?"

You're adding to the list of useless threads that don't need to be here. I don't know when this forum section became a Q&A.
I wouldn't call this useless. If people ignore the stickies and scroll down to find this one, maybe it'll sink into their thick skulls that "Oh hey! Let me check the updates and wait."

No, unless people keep bumping the thread it'll fall into the abyss of other threads that had no place in this section.

or the thread will get locked lmao

But Y Tho.

Yeah, people really need to read the current threads(the current news one is on the front page in this subforum right now) before asking about the progress over and over again. It clogs up the front page and gets pretty annoying.

It would be better if users making threads asking about the current progress get said threads deleted and said users get told to view the sticky threads for more information.

My bad , I thought forums were for chat . Its the attitude of the folk who frequent the place too much, they develop this "fuck off i hate you for asking again" Mantra . You take the time to complain , your not admin , I think it upsets you more than the people who continuous ask over and over ......

ITs not going to stop, and constantly filling the forum with complaints also has the same effect as you pointed out already

"Asking "When" will not give you a good answer and it takes up space where updates and actual answers can be."

Forums are for chat but they are also for reading. It happens in every subsection of this site. The forums get clogged up with posts by people who, quite frankly, can't be arsed to search or read the stickies.

This is what annoys a lot of the people who visit the site regularly.

Because of the duplicate threads asking the same questions OVER AND OVER AGAIN it's difficult to actually see the worthwhile content.

I get that i do . Can you not learn to ignore the crud like the rest of us ? IT will continue and those who flame others for it seem to get in more of a wrinkle than the OP - so ignore and all is well again ? no ?

Should we have to ignore it though, why is the onus on the regulars and not on the newbies?

Hmmm... I guess we could commission the construction of a Robot Moderator... RoboMod.
Yeah, the always working, infallible RoboMod, automatically replying "When it's done." and closing a thread, when its title starts with "When".
