Hello ! So my firmware is 4.1.0, I have maked 3D-printable RCM jig (fail0verflow model), so it connect pins 7 and 10 (picture attached).

I have W10 with Linux Mint VM and shofel2_linux is ready (picture attached)

ok.PNG

I put the RCM jig but everytime I launch my switch (with volume +...) the switch boot normaly, not in the RCM mode.
So I don't know if some people have vm with virtualbox here but did you encounter this problem? Is there a setting to make for the switch's USB to be recognized on my PC ?

PS: Sorry for my bad english and
for the inconvenience

I can't understand lol, the pins are okay:

Welds are obviously okay:

And normally I put the jig on the good emplacement:

But same result...

This time I think everything is okay but I get an error...
I have tried to solve it but without success :hateit:

So the installation freeze here :
switchblock.PNG

I get this error after a little time (on Windows but LinuxMint crash at the same moment of course)
error.PNG
wich means

"The instruction to 0x00007FF9BD04DFE9 uses the memory address 0x0000000000000000. The state of the memory can not be read"

Sorry again for my bad english and
for the inconvenience

I can see you're using VirtualBox. From what i've heard the USB passthrough of VirtualBox is incompatible with the exploit. Either use VMWare or use TegraRcmSmash, a windows launcher.
EDIT: Also make sure you're using a ss usb port (the blue one).

Thank you for your answer !
There is multiple soft called VMWare who are doing the same thing, and TegraRcmSmash is only for launch playloads if I'm not mistaken.

VMWare is a commercial product so you'll have to buy it to use it legally. You are right, they sell multiple products that seemingly do the same thing. I'm no expert mind you but from what I know VMWorkstation enables you to make and use virtual machines (it's what I used in the past). If you want to walk the free route, dual booting into linux is an option.

Look at VMWare Player, free software from VMWare that allows you to create and use Virtual Machines

I have tried workstation :

Now I am trying vmware player
I have exactly the same error...

After the exploit runs, the Switch is connected as a different device. You should also connect this to your VM. Look under the vm->removeable devices -> Nvidia Download(something like this)-> connect (disconnect from host).

EDIT:
scratch that I'm sorry, I din't see the 'message too long' error. You can try and set USB Compatibility to USB3.0 in your VM settings.

Thank for your answer, the virtual machine was not configured for support usb 3 so after I have configured it, linux has started launching !
But unfortunately it crash after the complete boot...
