This is a HUGE ISSUE. As of right now I have a 4.1.0 Switch that will be unable to use Homebrew even if it was released today for 4.1.0 CRAZY.
I wouldn't quite go that far, there's still the hardmod method which will likely be able to undo any of this in the future on current hardware.

Not really, this can be patched with CFW or a smaller fusee payload, but again we don't know everything yet, will update once we have more.

If I initialized the system in maintanince mode deleting all data including save data could that fix the issue?

U can try, if you want to in the name of science.

So here is the verdict for now:

NeedsUpdateVulnerability is a function that needs to be set to the value 0.

It seems that in systems with the issue it is set to 1.

When any of the web applets open they will check that value, if it is set to 1 a update will be needed.

We do not yet know how this value was changed, but this will be looked into tomorrow (EU timezone)

Is it patcheble?

Yes, but right now Fusee does not have sdMMC support, so the only way now is to patch it through running Linux on the Switch. Obviously that is not a easy solution, so a patch will come, but more groundwork needs to be done. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for the info, a fix will come soon, just don't connect to the internet!

I'm now stuck not being able to add Nintendo account after doing a complete initialize.

I took the leap for science. Keep me informed of a fix for this

Also now stuck unable to initialize in settings it seems it isn't initializing. Best to be informed.

Since the beta is out. My question is... How do I log out of the switchbru account on the switch?

Nintendo fights back soon after a day of massive releases...this is gonna be epic. probably.

In my mind, I wanna see sciresm and some nintendo worker punching each other in the face.

in reality, it's gonna be reswitched making a giant robot out of rcm jigs and labo parts fighting a giant wiiu robot another release that'll probably fix everything, or a way to fix stuff by simply jamming more crap down our rails.

I've been using Switch Bru DNS on my Switch Lite in the past but recently it started to kick me out of the browser if left it open for a while without touching it. Is there any way to resolve my issue

Interesting, how long is a while? I left mine open for about 10 minutes until my auto-sleep kicked in and I'm still online.

Haven't yet tried this test on a switch lite though

the L hdmi adapters work great on my tv and receiver. so much less stress on the ports using them than regular cables. in that instance anyway.

  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
