It'd be nice if you could add latest portable Chrome, PeaZip, Sysinternals suite, Nir tools, speccy, ccleaner, recuva, crystaldisk info, crystal disk mark, GPU-Z, Revo Uninstaller, dupeguru, MultiHasher, Notepad++, Advanced Renamer.
What's difference between MediCat USB & Mini Windows 10 x64?

The full MediCat USB comes with more stuff in a menu-driven suite, and still includes Mini Windows 10 x64.

Thank you for the tip, but i don't know extactly how to do it, i have to use first Ultra ISO to extract boot.wim (from medicat.iso), than modify it with NLITE, and then use again Ultra ISO to recreate the new Medicat ISO with the modified boot.wim?

yes i think you can do this way
personnaly, i do it from a copy of the boot.wim which is on my usb keys (/sources/boot.wim)

(Medicat iso-> Rufus -> Usb Key -> /sources/boot.wim -> etc...)

Yes. Add the iso to the ISO folder, and open main_menu.cfg in notepad. Add the entry to your ISO. (You can copy and paste an existing one, and just edit the menu title and ISO path.)

You can edit the MediCat disc image using UltraISO, which can be found in the Programs folder.

Hi there, and first of all, Thank you Jayro for providing us this awesome tool !

I modified Medicat tool in order to add all windows installation images (7, 8.1 and 10), but when i want to install windows 8 or 10 on any computer, comes a message saying : "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. Please insert the installation media...etc...".

My usb key is a SanDisk Ultra 256 Go USB 3.0., and when i burn the ISOs on another USB 3.0, with rufus, it's working well, so do you have any idea ?

Thank you.

Thanks for the great tool, but I have a couple of issues..

I have the full version installed on a 16GB Kingston USB3 stick via Rufus.
So far most of the stuff works, but I have found a couple that don't:

Spinrite6 hangs right after it says FREEDOS

EasyRecovery for 7 and 8.1 work, but the Win10 version keeps saying:
Testing drive /dev/ada0p4 (msdosfs -olarge)
mount_msdosfs: /dev/ada0p4: Invalid argument

then after a while it times out and says
Unable to locate boot files!
If attempting to boot from USB, make sure to use Fat32 and not NTFS!

I did specify NTFS in Rufus like it says on the first post.. any ideas?

Thanks for that tool! I now always keep USB with MediCat in my wallet :) But can you remove that Startup.mp3 sound from Mini Windows 10? I mean I can remove it by myself, but I think it might annoy more people than just me.
And also as Msan2000 said, "Spinrite6 hangs right after it says FREEDOS".

I'm looking into the Spinrite issue, I might just need to have it load differently.

Lubuntu 18.04 came out. Will Medicat get an 18.04? I'm making a new multiboot usb; don't want to recreate it for medicat 18.04, so if Medicat 18.04 is coming out within a month I'll put it off.

MediCat USB v18.04 comes out in early May. I still have a few things to update and work out before it's ready for release, but the hard stuff is done. Thanks for being patient too, means a lot.

is this like Hiren's boot CD, UBCD, wondershare live boot other, like it must be able to run like that, PE, it should have all admin tools, like it must have setting app, administrative tools, regedit, settings, login screen Windows 10, bypass login screen, password or autologon, I have forgotten password, but I want to retain password, but login automatically on Windows 10 home version any build up-to-date which is my non-Internet connected PC, then reverse it back, or use boot disk to login to the OS from disk, not live, but not password reset , just like http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-automatically-login-to-windows-7-skip-login-screen/ http://www.thewindowsclub.com/bypass-login-screen-windows then automatically login to that pc locally without the live disk

I don't fully understand this, but I do have many password resetting tools built in.

Hi, first of all, congratulations, this ISO is really great!
I just want to tell you that I downloaded the ISO from the torrent, but the MD5 hash is wrong, according to the hashes.txt you uploaded in the MEGA drive. For me is almost impossible to download 11 GB from MEGA or GDRIVE via web browser.
Could you please check the ISO?
Another thing, in the hashes.txt file there is also a 17.10.03 version, but in MEGA drive there is only the update for the 17.10.02. :)

Thank you.

Sorry, my mistake. The torrent file is for the 17.04.01, the last release is 17.10.02. I try to download the 17.10.02... somehow... :)
I've noticed that there are some seeders with the old 17.04.01, though...

You can download the patch for 17.10.02, and extract it over top of your 17.10.01 USB and it will be a 17.10.02 USB.

Is it possible to put this onto (multiple?) DVDs (Which are apparently 4.7 GB), or a minimal version with some stuff missing (Maybe just the recovery stuff and not Lubuntu/Win10 that fits onto one?
The goal here is essentially to have it on a DVD, and not a USB stick (Problem being it cant be updated once burned)
