Uuuuuh, android is just a linux overlay for mobile phone tho.
Well they have quite a lot of difference... Android is based on Linux Kernel like most custom OS out there in all kinds of devices.

And one is more for computers and the other is best for handheld\high portability devices...

I don't care for Linux on my Switch the same way I don't care for Android on my PC.

Salts 3ds Releases
They never released KARL3DS (but they never said they would so that's fair, like F0F)

Question from a total noob about console hacking :
Why is Linux always the first OS to be run on a console by homebrew?
I mean, it's not the first time I see Linux run on a console, right?
I think because it is so open-saucy that it is easy for people to understand how it works, rather than be images which you can't decrypt and look at and understand what they're doing. And being all open-source you could modify it as needed to get it to run (remove all the bits that are incompatible).

Likely because it's open source and the license only requires you to also release the source code for any modifications.

Other OSs like Windows or Mac OS can lack source code and have licensing restrictions.

They may also have a preference for it e.g. familiarity, 'ethics' (no need to patch the OS other than executing Linux), prefer running Linux over 'game OS' for full control, etc.

It may also be just because it's expected, as they say 'Linux is inevitable'.

Why do people get so triggered? I mean saying he has "questionable hunan values" because of a snarky comment that is good for competition is just pathetic. I'm assuming he hit the SALTmine.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
