it's like a 0.01% chance of bricking and normally user error, so follow the guide

Yes. You can update through freeShop as well. And install DLC for free.

If something messes up, I believe you can uninstall the update. If not, just reinstall the entire game after backing up save using Checkpoint.

If you transfer system A to system B then system B will be able to log into either NNID A or B. If not hacked it would have to do a system format before signing into the other NNID it can access, but with CFW you can sign out of the current NNID without formatting so can then sign into the other. System A will no longer be able to sign into NNID A after the transfer. And, unless system B already had CFW before the transfer, it will lose all its data because you'll have to format it first (with CFW you would be able to make a backup first).

it's the same method of converting Gateway Saves, and you need a working version of the MT-Card setup with a working EmuNAND etc
