"Waah waah waah, the Switch isn't powerful enough to do this wah wah wah"
I totally read that with a Waluigi voice, makes it even better
"Waah waah waah, the Switch isn't powerful enough to do this wah wah wah"
You mean you wouldn't call the Switch underpowered?I was being facetious, people are always crapping on the Switch for being underpowered or some stupid-ass unwarranted complaint.
For being a tablet that's capable of console quality games? No. I mean you could get shallow and have an ignorant comparison against the PS4 or Xbox One, like that's somehow relevant to what the system is and does. You mean you wouldn't call the Switch underpowered?
From where I sit it is not enough to hang with the big boys and its splurge on power did not gain it much of anything otherwise over the older devices, save perhaps an even worse battery life. For being a tablet that's capable of console quality games? *Seductively whispers "NVidia Gamestream" in ur ear*OT: if the switch would get android, IMO gaming isn't even the best use for it. If one could get Nvidia's Smarthome up and running, you would basically integrate what would be similar to Google Home/Amazon Alexa into your switch. But that ofc would require a lot of work
What the hell do you people expect, PS4-like power in a bloody tablet? Hardware fans are nothing but implacable people who should stick to PCs and higher end consoles. The Switch isn't for them. Power, battery, heat, you can't have a good balance of any of those if there's too much power, and until it does, I'd love to see proof.
You should see some of the comments Ive read on other sites.
on top of the fact, a tablet that is meant to run android will actually run it better (switch would probably need custom drivers to handle the hardware. Raspberry pi doesn't even seem to have this, and that's open source)buys a switch to install android and not being able to play switch games..instead of buying a tablet for half the price...priceless

No.*Seductively whispers "NVidia Gamestream" in ur ear*
People are unreasonable with their demands, bitching about "Switch isn't powerful" or "Switch isn't competitive" wah wah wah, people need to grow a pair.
Yes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
To be 100% honest? A native Nvidia client would be more than welcome. Moonlight is great, but is always inconsistent for me.Yes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
No but seriously, in the absence of Rainway, Gamestream and/or Moonlight would be an awesome addition to the Switch's repertoire
why wouldn't switch be powerful enough to run shield tv games?
Quoting you both, the switch wouldnt run shield tv games because it is indeed underpowered (compared to the shield tv) and that is a fact. Adding a dual boot to android wouldnt help at all considering you are running a quad core cpu at 1.0ghz, and most heavy games on android requieres higher cpu clockspeed to run at reasonable speed.I was being facetious, people are always crapping on the Switch for being underpowered or some stupid-ass unwarranted complaint.
Someone is working on an android version for the switch that is supposed to be released on April 31st.
I believe DeadlyFoez was just joking. There is no 31st in AprilSource? Kinda odd..
That REALLY depends on both how optimized the game is and whether frame rates are dynamic, plus how much throttling the developers accounted for thermal throttling. I'd bet that the vast majority of them probably would RUN, but they might end up looking/feeling a bit uglyQuoting you both, the switch wouldnt run shield tv games because it is indeed underpowered (compared to the shield tv) and that is a fact. Now imagine trying to run the shield tv ports, eh... The underclocked tegra x1 wouldnt help at all too, at least speaking about handheld mode.
They indeed would run, but horribly, or with crashes during gameplay. It might sound insignificant but you dont know how much of an improvement i noticed when playing sonic forces speed battle on a octacore cpu at 1.2 and then switching to an 1.5 one. The first one crashed regulary an ran below 25 frames despite being played at low settings. The new one runs at least near 60 in low settings and have never crashed this far. That REALLY depends on both how optimized the game is and whether frame rates are dynamic, plus how much throttling the developers accounted for thermal throttling. Edit: and the above
Got dang it. I hate calendars.I believe DeadlyFoez was just joking. There is no 31st in April
