Hacking WiiU already hacked?

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out if my Wii U is hacked already. It has 123 games on it (which makes me suspiscious).

All games are on the tablet style gamepad. I don't have to run a special app to run them. I just click their icon.
When I boot it up there is no Haxchi or autobooting message that I can see anywhere. Not on the controller or the screen.

Any ideas where I can look next?

I dont want to try to hack it only to brick it because it was already hacked another way.

if you don't have any message on the gamepad when booting the console, I don't think it's hacked.
You can also go to the settings, and if it says 5.5.2 it's not in a CFW mode. if it says 99.99.99 it is.

If you had CBHC or haxchi, you'd certainly have notice one of the game named "do not touch!" or "haxchi". (even though the icon and game's title can be edited to anything else)

I think all these 120 games are officially bought.
Do not delete the profile who bought all these games, or you'll lose them.

Is there a sd card in it. Take a look and see what’s on there if so

launching eshop games that were downloaded (with WiiU USB Helper) with tickets dumped from physical game (DVD) does not need any Custom Firmware nor hack. So anybody can use a temporary hack, even in 5.5.2, to launch Mocha then WUP Installer to put any game (at least the games that are sold on eshop and physically on DVD)

I don't think anyone would buy 120 eshop games ! You can check if there is any game that is eshop only, or that the DVD ticket does not match the eshop one (for example Call of Duty if I remember correctly)


launching games without hack is not a proof that these are legit at all !

I know you don't need a CFW for games originating from disc.
I just assumed the previous owner would have added elements which requires CFW (DLC, or eShop only games), but you are right it's not necessarily true.
I also assumed it was 120 "small" eshop games, which is possible. buying 2-10€ a game, some people spent a lot more on steam for games they will never play

A lot of the games are crappy little games tbh. I am only really interested in Zelda and Mario but I really to get Atomic Bomberman working on it.

So am I safe to go ahead and crack it in the normal way? I have a .wad file for bomberman.

Oh there was a wad for Bomberman on sd card already? Cause that’s for vwii not Wii u
U would have to install hb channel on vwii. There’s a hb app on Wii U side called wuphax that can do it for you. Just remember to backup mii app in wuphax so u can restore it after install hb channel on vwii

No I downloaded the wad for bomberman. I figured it would still run on the wii u?

Yeh it will, but on vwii side. Need to hack vwii and install hb channel then put a wad installer in apps folder and install ur game wad. U could then prob make a forwarder to it so u can start it from Wii U side and it will auto start vwii then right to game
