Is it possible to use Rainway with this?
Unfortunately no, Rainway does not work with the Switch and likely never will - the devs were almost definitely just lying about it to generate hype about their program... that's why nobody talks about it here anymore.

Hey everyone! I've added support for creating custom themes!! You can create one here. Please note that you have to have a slight understanding of JSON to do this (or at least the ability to understand basic instructions, as that page gives you a good idea of what to do!)

I know you guys can't see the themes yet, but if anyone wants to have a hand at a theme that might look cool, feel free! And let me know if you'd like me to load it up on my instance and check it out, so that you can get an idea of what your theme is!

Custom themes are exclusive to you, only you're able to view and use them. Hope that'll suffice! :D

Few people know how to deal with that (me included fortunately) but without debugging/testing while adjusting not many people can use this I think.
Maybe you should "build" a screenshot of the menu, embed it there, make the values adjustable online and the screenshot shows live how the changes would look like. :)

Edit: Btw (and this goes out to you as well @pwsincd) oddly enough there's no link to the appstore in the header but it appears when I click on the RIP button.

Yeah, I kinda just made it a quick implementation that would work. For now, I've tried to make the instructions on the page as clear as they can be, and you can go to a page such as this for the color codes.

Me and pwsincd were talking earlier and we're thinking if more people show interest in it we might add a color picker of sorts into it to make it easier for anyone to do it, and for it to manually construct the JSON string - and yep, having a live screenshot is a big thing he mentioned, which isn't a top priority for me right now (since I already spent hours on just this today), but definitely something I want to add in the future!

Thanks for your feedback.

Just as an update, we are starting to have a look at creating a color picker for custom themes. I hope that satisfies everybody! :D

just curious can this work on 4.1.0?
Yep, it does! Works on all firmwares except for the early ones. :D

Also, another update on custom themes (cc @lordelan): you can now preview the theme after you create an upload it. It might help people who are unsure about what they are doing to get a visual on most parts that they customised. I attached a screenshot below, and it's available now so if you want to try to make a theme just head here: https://switchbru.com/account/theme/

What do you mean...?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Ohhhh wait, update blocking. Yeah, we're like 95% sure it blocks updates. If you're worried about it tho, you can simply just disconnect from your wifi after using the SwitchBru DNS (or just switch your DNS settings back to one that you know blocks updates), but it should be good. Remember that this DNS was made for web browsing though, so that's not a major priority, but it SHOULD work.
