OT: Thank you, now lets talk about an admins role in any proprietor setup community on the web. Wait - I just reconsidered.. ;)

(I'm really not great at climbing a corporate ladder... ;) Sociology joke, audience of three. Maybe. ;) )

Well even if you did get caught I am sure you could just act like you made a "honest" mistake, and they would let it slip through or just cancel the return.
If the return is denied in the first place so you can go get the other Switch to continue to proceed the return (if you still want to). However if you was caught doing switcheroo after the transaction, you are to face legal action as Gamestop operates with pawnshop regulation that they would have to report (archive) thing like serial number about thing they take in from people. So if the strange serial number somehow become a problem down the road for Gamestop/pawnshop, they would trace it and turn you in to the law enforcement to deal with you.

So the risk is always there doing this kind of thing and the sentence for such crime if you get caught is not worth it.

I believed in some countries, playing backup is a even more serious felony then returning fraud. So guess it’s not some people’s concern as long as they got homebrew aka backup loader?

Anyways, now got 3 Switches gotta have a local version sync around just for the lolz for this post.

Just to make sure...

I have a 4.1.0 console with the latest Xenoblade and latest Mario Odyssey update. I've updated those games before 5.0 came out. Can I use my console to update those games on a brand new console of a friend of mine? Since I'm on 4.1.0 myself there should be no way, that my console sends an system update over to my friend?

I'd expect that to work, yes

Apparently if it sends a system update it will say "sending system update" or words to that effect and you'll have an opportunity to cancel.

Welp, that means 99% of the people looking at this thread are out of luck...
Pretty much, we are all waiting on CFW and updating anything won't be a logical option to us till summer toward the CFW release if emunand is available that is
Buying a 2nd switch to update a few games is pretty meh, but I'll thank him for sharing the info

That doesn't justify treating the OP like garbage.
Yeah, of course. We'll just let him lie to us, purposefully hold back information after relaying it to the entire community, and pulling shit out his ass. Sounds like a perfectly acceptable response to me.

Wasn't the mod suppose to be locking this thread if it kept going full circle? We know this isn't anything new. It's documented. We also know that OP was shilling for his own account. He's also been told multiple times by multiple people that what he is doing is drumming up a storm for no reason. There's no reason for this to continue.

So if I have one switch 3.0 with Zelda dlc, but missing update for last dlc with 300hours save and another switch 4.0.1 with all Zelda update, I can update Zelda on my switch 3.0 without problem !

Edit : not working of course, need 4.0 minimum

Probably... But if it says "a system update is required to blah blah blah," hit cancel

Don't think we are treating anyone like garbage we just don't want ppl getting away trying to claim credit for something that's already been founded.
Every OP should at least research any similar findings before they make a thread for claim. Aside from that the requirements are a bit above norm standards to as not everyone has a 2nd Switch to even try this out

To be fair the info I put out was only sprinkled through a few other threads, and unless they cared about Kirby updates or what firmware games required, they may have missed it. And seemshow the search function is kinda garbage it wouldn't surprise me that they didn't find it through search either, especially given that I never made a new thread for it.
