@Kafluke looking at your tutorial, should i go with otp.bin process or with slc.bin process. Since slc.bin is questionable. If i fix it with @EyeKey tools will it work or should i stick with otp.bin process?

so i changed slc.full.img to slc.full.bin and started process

C:\Users\jure\Desktop\wiiu>nandFixer.exe slc.full.bin slc.bin

now i have fixed slc.bin size 540.672 KB

I don't know what you mean by otp.bin process. Otp.bin is just a file you use to decrypt your nand

hello again...I've been waiting for teensy like 2 months from china and guess it doesn't work. PC doesn't recognises it. I soldered that voltage regulator and cut connection for 5.0 V and bridged 3.3 V. I know. I should buy original. Now I will. But before, are this fake teensy's rubbish or I am doing something wrong? What do ya'll think?

That's one of the most entertaining threads I've seen in a while.
I don't mean that in a way like laughing over OP's tragedy but while I went through the pages and posts my face went from  to :( to  to :toot: to  to :hateit: to  and now I just hope you can turn your brick into some happiness again.
While I can't enjoy many games on my 3.0.0 Switch for now I finally got myself a goddamn 2 TB drive just for the Wii U (only had a 64 GB flash drive for the most important games and my SD card with Loadiine from ancient times) and I'm enjoying all the greatness of this wonderful console to its fullest now.
No matter how great the Switch becomes (and it will be very great without any doubt once SciresM releases (and updates) his CFW), the Wii U with those great games, with the vWii which is actually a complete Wii software sided including GC capabilities with Nintendont, with RetroArch (!) which is getting better and better and with great homebrews like HID to VPAD, ftpiiu or SaveMii will always be a fantastic enhancement to my living room! :)

@Kafluke: Coming to think about it, I never really dumped my Wii U's nand as I never installed CBHC (using only the "normal" Haxchi). What's the best way to dump everything I need? Just in case?

Any luck with your brick brother?

Not yet. Must order teensy++ 2.0 from uk now, i regret i didn’t buy it before, but tempting china cheap products got me nowhere. I’m confident it will work because i have everything i need. Except teensy. Have to wait for 14 days. But it will work. Btw i miss playing wiiu. Great games. Meanwhile i’m playing mario odessey. What a treat. Today i moded gba with backlit screen. What a difference.

Done with soldering, i double checked.

When i connect Teensy to PC and reassemble Wii U and press power button on, the light blinks blue and fan doesn't start.

Then i run cmd and execute command and I get this.

I'm using port 3. Whats the error?

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

I don't have experience with teensy, but as the error message implies, you are missing the pySerial module for your Python installation.
If you have pip, try "pip install pyserial"

PS: I see you are good at Tiny Soldering™.

can you explain I'm noob about Phyton.
First, let's suppose you have pip installed already, because it may be hard otherwise.
Go to your cmd, and instead of NANDway.py COM3 0 info, write pip install pyserial

Check if that tries to install something or if it gives an error.

If it installs something, then now you can do NANDway.py COM3 0 info

Let me know how it goes.

Well, now you need help from someone familiar with teensy or with the Wii U NAND.

I am not sure I can help you with that, from the message I think it may be some point that is not soldered correctly, or a grave defect on the NAND, or perhaps the Wii U not being powered correctly... but all of those are guesses (based on the fact that it is not being able to read the NAND correctly), it would be better for someone with more experience on the subject to give you advise.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
