SMASH BROS. COMING 2018

wow they are really milking it with all those ports, but if people buy them you cant blame them
I mean, Wii U ports are justified because they have to compensate the large amounts of money lost by developping games on a system with poor sales. Plus, well, more audience for amazing games. As for 3rd party ports, it's a good thing! Do people complained when PS4 exclusives get XB1 ports or stuff like that?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Sakurai tweeted, it seems Smash isn't a port.

Nothing really "new" announced for the Switch except for maybe Smash and that weird Sushi Striker game that people seemed to be glossing over. Was hoping for a new Phoenix Wright game or a Fire Emblem RPG but I'm actually glad I put my expectations low for this Direct. Hopefully there'll be a better one near the E3 date or something

yeah it was expected that they would port some of the top games from wii u to the switch. but i think they are porting way to many, if it continues at this rate it will end up that all the wii u games will be ported to the switch lol. yeah and for 3rd party support, ports are defiently better than nothing, but it seems that it is all 3rd party devs will release on it, as their are a worrisome lack of new 3rd party games comming to switch

Did they skip partners in time? 4y?

Mostly meh to me. Wasnt hoping for much. Woulda been nice to see chrono trigger/cross/break..... But then again its ALWAYS nice to see those... Unless its that steam attrocity.

I am not interested in most Ports, I have a Wii U with all good games, I don't buy them a second time for the Switch. I could not care less for Smash and Tennis.
I am not complaining, I am happy for the Smash Fans :D Good for my wallet.
Really excited for Octopath Traveler, finally we have a release date.
Little Nightmares looks interesting, never heard of that game before.

- Wario Ware Gold is good !
- Luigi's Mansion is good !
- Pikachu Detective is good !

But they'd be better on Switch !

My only hope is that Luigi's Mansion will be playable on o3DS. I'd love to beat that game one more time but the lack of c-stick may compromise it...
Finally, an opportunity to play Wario Ware motion control games from the Twisted one !

I don't understand what you mean by "new" games. The Switch has third party exclusives (Mario+Rabbids, Octopath Traveler..) and third-party multiplatform games.

SMASH BROS. COMING 2018

I am sad that they skipped over Partners in Time. That one was my favorite Mario RPG

A "Deluxe" port of Smash 4 would be nice. Especially if they add in an actual single-player mode and fix stuff like Bayonetta. And stop "For Glory" being "Omega mode" stages only.

Don't see how anybody could say it's gonna be a new Smash built from the ground up. All previous Smash games have had like 2 years from official announcement, to release dates with Sakurai updates and stuff. They ain't Cawadoody.

I guarantee smash is a Wii U port with stupid lil splatoon characters added.
sakurai already stated its a new game he has been producing in secret.

if you see the botton its says 2018 Hal productions all DX games had their release-2017(18) in there, also not having namco name in the company copyright means hal is doing this by themselves now.
