I kind of saw it as a bit of a middle finger when Nintendo decided to make a version of Mario Kart 8 with a proper battle mode, and then not bring the battle mode to Wii U. Basically forcing anyone who has the game on Wii U to buy it again to enjoy what could have easily been added in an update to the game, or even a DLC. I did end up buying it anyways, because I needed more multiplayer games on Switch, but I still feel like it's a ripoff for existing Wii U owners. If they add a couple of new DLC packs then it'll kind of make up for it a little.
As for the other ports, I don't care much either way.

But a lot of people didn't have a Wii U, wouldn't it make more sense to expose it to more people who didn't have a chance?

Nice reveals, guess the 3DS got some good titles coming even this late! I'm interested in Wario Ware Gold (on Wario Ware I have well over 600 hours and crazy high scores:rofl2:), Bowser's Inside Story and Bowser JR's Journey (because NDS Bowser's Inside Story was a blast) and Luigi's Mansion (because it was epic and while LM2 is pretty good, 1 was more fun)!

However, I gotta ask, if you made a thread to announce the direct already, why make a bunch of extra threads for each game announced? Make one for everything, less flooding of the forums. This happens a lot and feels kinda stupid seeing it happen so many times...
I don't see how three threads clutter anything. Anyways, some people want to discuss the major reveals, which were the ones to get threads. The lesser stuff is kept here, but the major announcements like Smash and Luigis Mansion more than deserve threads on their own merit. The latter already has 45 comments. That way, if someone just hits the home page, they see the biggest news, and then can click the pinned roundup thread to see everything.

Too bad I don't count three threads but 5 and they all show up as the latest news burying any other news like the PS4 one... So again, one thread or two should be plenty. Also, shouldn't discussion threads go to gaming discussions instead of news at least if you are making so many of them?:/

Yes, but that doesn't excuse not bringing the new content to Wii U as an update or DLC.

I understand why they don't want to backpedal with the Wii U, but as a Wii U owner I understand where you're coming from. I strongly feel that if a person has any of the Wii U versions purchased on their account, it would be fair of Nintendo to offer the Switch versions to that account at a DLC price. But then the disc owners would complain that they aren't getting a discount.

OH YES! More Kirby hype! I wonder why they decided to skip M&L2. Inklings for Smash? Oh yes! I hope it's actually a new entry and not simply a port of Smash for Wii U.

And is that Link from Breath of the Wild?

Three threads for the biggest reveals from the direct, and one to announce Smash's existence because it's freakin' smash bros, and one for the live coverage. And no, because all the news starts off in the Scene News section by default. Every other forum in the world splits up each of the news one by one, so I think it's much easier to have a handful of threads, because if not a news thread, there would obviously be people making their own threads for each game, instead of a massive cluster fest of everything compiled into one post. And I'm pretty sure BLOPS snore, I mean, 4, an old patent on some bongos, and Ubisoft's: The Delayed can handle not being in the immediate spotlight for the rest of the night.

I seriously hope smash for switch is not a port of the wii u version. I fear it is. Actually I'm a call it right now i bet you its a port. Smash usually takes time to develop. It would also make sense why the wii u gamecube controller adapter is working on switch. They will probably bundle the adapter with the switch version. The announce gamecube vc on switch. Then you will be able to use the adapter for it. I did not expect Okami. I wont be getting it as its a remake. If i want to play okami ill load up the wii version. Crash was rumored for switch.

The wii U remakes will continue since not many bought a wii u. It will make all the wii u games super cheap and ill be collecting them when they are cheap. IN the future say 20 years they are going to be scarce like turbo graphic 16 games.
